The date was November 15th, 2012, a couple weeks ago the San Francisco Giants had swept the Detroit Tigers to take the 2012 MLB World Series.

"Come on in Lance!" said Peter Angelos, the owner of the Baltimore Orioles.

"Alright, thanks for having me."

"What is your main goal to do with this organization if we hired you as GM. We liked what Dan [Duquette] did last year bringing us to the playoffs but we think our squad could have done better and possibly made it all the way."

"Well, sir, I would hope to at least take us to the playoffs in 2013, and make us into a very serious World Series contender by 2015. I like our starting 9, and I think we have a great farm system, and some great future arms with Gausman, Bundy, and McFarland."

"We do have a great future with our rotation, but I see our future as a powerhouse hitting team."

"If our prospects improve the way we want them to in the rotation, then I think the Orioles will be a serious World Series contender."

"I had a good time talking with you Lance, we will be in touch soon."

"Thanks, sir!"

-----------------------------------

Hello all! I am Lance Sharp, a 26-year-old single man from northern California. I majored in mathematics out of Stanford, and am one of the biggest possible new GM's for 2013. I am currently being pursued by 6 MLB teams. The Orioles, the Twins, the Mariners, the Phillies, the Astros, and the Padres. I hope to make one of these 6 teams into an incredible dynasty.

"Hey Lance, come on in and have a seat."

"Thank you Mr. Pohlad."

"So, we're looking for a new GM obviously, after firing our interim, Terry Ryan. What can you do for us as GM?"

"I would think about getting rid of Mauer and Morneau and basically start this team over by acquiring prospects. We have Byron Buxton right now, and by 2014, we'll expect to have him starting in the MLB and then, we will build the team around him. But I think we need to get some good young pitching. We have some pitchers right now that seem to have a good future ahead of them, Hendriks, Worley, and De Vries, but we need an ace."

"I like where you're going Lance, but why should we trade away Mauer?"

"Well, Mauer is big on the Twins payroll. Even though he's the star of the team, he's taking up too much space on our salary."

"Well, we had a good talk Lance, we'll think about hiring you. Have a good day."

"You too sir!"

"Come on in now Lance. Mr. Yamauchi would like to talk with you." says the translator, Garrett Spikes.

"What would your main goal be for the Mariners?"

"My goal has always been to be in charge of a world series winning baseball team, and I think we can do that with the M's. We've got a bright future, with Zunino and Hultzen, and many other top prospects."

"The M's haven't had a great season in awhile, and having traded Ichiro away hurt me, but I think you, Lance, have the potential to take this team over the top. We'll definitely think about hiring you, but I need to speak with a couple other men."

"Well, good day to you sir!"

When I got back to my hotel in Seattle, I looked at my iPhone and saw that I had 1 new message.

I picked it up to see the message. It was from David Montgomery, the owner of the Philadelphia Phillies. The message read:
David Montgomery wrote:
Hey Lance, we've decided to hire you after the talk we had yesterday. I hope you enjoy being the Phillies GM, we'll have salary talks tomorrow.

I was ecstatic that I had finally been hired as an MLB GM after 2 years.

Based on the interviews I'm terrified of what you might do with the aging roster of the Phillies...

Rumor Mill: Howard, Utley, and J-Roll to be dealt?

Yesterday, the newly acquired Phillies GM Lance Sharp, said that he does not like the way that Howard, Utley, and Rollins are aging, and he is looking to shop all three of them. He said that he is confident in his prospects to replace them, Ruf, Galvis, and Crawford.

Ethan Martin was also claimed off of waivers by the Redsox from the Phillies.

Lance has shown interest in left fielders, first basemen, and starting pitchers, with his aging rotation.

April 30, 2013

I called up the new head scout that I had hired, Zachary Wells. Zachary is a 38-year old who scouted some of the great young players that are currently on the A's, back in 2009. Zach has been out of the MLB for a few years now and I have hired him.

"So what kind of talent are we looking for in the draft Zachary?"
"We definitely need a first baseman, with Ryan Howard aging and batting only .150 with 4 homers through April, but I don't feel that we will get a solid first baseman in the first round.
"I agree that we are looking for a first baseman, but I also think we need some future help in the bullpen."
"I think we need another outfielder as well. We have Mayberry, Brown, Young, and Revere, but it always seems that 1 or 2 of them are injured at the same time."
"It does seem like that, but Young and Revere are having great seasons through April, along with Brown."
"Unfortunately, Revere is injured right now thought, and by the time he gets back, 3 to 4 weeks, we'll probably have another guy injured. I guess what I am trying to say here, is that we need some depth. Our only outfield prospect right now is Tyson Gillies."
"You do make a point. I'll talk to you soon Zachary. See ya around"

So this means, you guys can send it player profiles for the draft class. Basically, you can create your own player (up to 3 people) in the draft class.

you might need a 3rd baseman in the draft, too.
