Since I've basically abandoned my New Orleans Hornets log, (hope to continue it) I've decided to start an MLB 13 the show log, I'm not sure what team to choose so I made a poll, the one with the most votes I'll take the role of. |

I'd say Miami, you get the chance to not be like the current owner of the marlins... And it's always fun to rebuild a team rather than win all the time. |

I'll be playing on my own sliders, start of the 2013 rosters, instant trades, I'll try to play more games than I simulate. Jeffrey Loria resigns, Scott Drexler replacement. After a disappointing 2012 season, where the Miami Marlins finished with a horrid record, even after signing players such as Jose Reyes and Mark Buehrle to lucrative deals. The former owner has decided to resign from his position as owner and hand over the franchise to Scott Drexler. Scott was a former draftee by the Montreal Expos but after a series of disappointing minor league seasons, and a degenerative back condition, looked into managing baseball instead of playing it. He never got the opportunity to be even a bench coach until this. Loria is related to Drexler as they are second cousins, but never have talked much prior to this. We reached Mr. Drexler on how he is going to start the 2013 season up. "We have a very solid team, with good players like Giancarlo Stanton and Ricky Nolasco, I feel as if we might not finish bottom last in the division. I believe that we will let Stanton go for the right price, but he will be a key asset if we ever hope for our team to be good." Lineup: 1. Juan Pierre 2. Placido Polanco 3. Giancarlo Stanton 4. Logan Morrison 5. Justin Ruggiano 6. Rob Brantly 7. Donovan Solanto 8. Matt Downs 9. Pitcher Rotation: 1. Wade LeBlanc 2. Jacob Turner 3. Ricky Nolasco (wade isnt as good of a pitcher but I've done well with him as my staff ace.) 4. Nathan Eovaldi 5. Henderson Alvarez Bullpen: LRP: Brad Hand LRP: Tom Koehler MRP: Scott Maine MRP: Jack Ash SU: Ryan Webb SU: Michael Dunn CP: Steve Cishek I suppose I could make some shoddy minor leaguers for you guys too if you want that. Update you on them every month or so. |

Opening Day 2013 Breaking news! Owner and current GM Scott Drexler has traded minor leaguers Joe Mahoney and Gil Espinosa to the Oakland Athletics for backup shortstop/second baseman Eric Sogard. The deal was reportedly made due to Scott Drexler not liking backup Adeiny Hechevarrias performance during the spring, where he logged just a .141 batting average and only driving in four. |

This copy of the mlb 13 the show is my brothers, and he never plays it anymore, however he lost the manual before I could put in the online pass, so I don't have updated rosters, it's just randomly generated minor leaguers :/ start of the 2013 season. |

Then edit them in. And why did you trade for Sogie? Sogie is a terrible hitter. Almost as bad as Revere. |

April 1st, 2013. Miami: (0-1) Washington: (1-0) Miami: 5 Washington: 8 Koehler: (0-1) Duke: (1-0) Soriano (1) The Miami Marlins lost their first game of the season on opening day, starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc had a rough start, giving up a two run homerun to Jayson Werth on just the second pitch of the game. The marlins responded quickly however as Juan Pierre walked, stole second and third, and was driven in by Rob Brantly. The runs didn't stop there however, as the Marlins had a four run inning, largely led by Giancarlo Stanton with his two run homerun. Justin Ruggiano also hit an RBI triple to top it off. LeBlanc was in cruise control for the rest of his outing, going six strong innings while fanning just as many. However in the seventh, 5 runs were given up, Tom Koehler surrendered three of them which gave Washington a one run lead, and then Ryan Webb surrendered another two, the Nationals had basically won the game by that point. Jacob Turner takes the mound tomorrow, as the Marlins look to avoid a series loss. |

If you're not an A's fan, you're alright with him. But most of us A's fans don't like him for a couple reasons. He never comes through in the clutch because he can't hit. And whenever we have a clutch situation it seems to be Sogard batting. |

Sure I think he only has like, one major league homerun, but he's a very solid line drive hitter, plus both are decent on the defensive end. |

Nathan Eovaldi on paternity list April 4th, 2013 Nathan Eovaldi has been put on the three day paternity list as he awaits the birth of his daughter, who is scheduled to be born on the day that he pitches, tomorrow. It is likely that current relief pitcher Brad Hand will make a spot-start or Henderson Alvarez will pitch this game. Matt Downs was also injured in today's 5-3 victory over the Nationals. He will be out for a game or two with a blister. The Marlins currently sit at 1-2 and are tied for last with Philadelphia in the division. |
