Had two volunteers for players on the team, so I'll use them. There may be openings in the future if anyone wants to be a player, but it probably won't be for a while.

Starting roster is all mediocre dynasty players:

Pitching Rotation:
1. Case Royal - 77
2. Ryan VanVorstenbosch - 76
3. Bryan Kelly - 73
4. Thurman King - 71
5. Rafael Cortes - 70

Bullpen:
LRP - Bryan Garlobo - 73
MRP - Sean Claussen - 72
MRP - Julio Feliz - 72
MRP - Benito Lugo - 70
SU - Kevin Hanson - 78
CP - Jimmie Shannon - 80 (best on the team)

Lineup (vs RHP, DH on):
1. Richard Blanco (SS) - 69
2. Ryan Staton (DH) - 65
3. Eddy Gonzalez (3B) - 66
4. Mike Lewis (1B) - 66
5. Barry Cooper (LF) - 69
6. Romeo Curtis (C) - 68
7. Tucker Davis (RF) - 67
8. Erich Wint (2B) - 70
9. Gary Benoit (CF) - 70

Bench:
Josh Castle (C) - 59
Travis Harris (1B) - 67
Fred Larson (CF) - 71
Hank Staton (SS) - 66
Arturo Ortiz (LF) - 68

All positions are subject to change, this is mostly just the default setup, there are some easily noticeable issues. For example, my best overall position player being on the bench by default.

All players have 30-40 games left on their career.

Edit: Now that I think of it, there's a site for Diamond Dynasty online where you can see things like rosters and such. If it ever updates to this year and gets online I may link over there instead of typing out my rosters.

Season 1:

Game 1:

Boston Red Sox (me) at Boston Red Sox (real team)

Red Sox: 2
Red Sox: 5

We lost this one as a result of facing great pitching and unreal defense that robbed tons of bases, at least 5 that I could count. David Ortiz hit a two run home run and those Red Sox never looked back.

Blanco: 0-3
Staton: 0-1
Staton: 0-2
Ortiz: 0-1
Harris: 0-1
Gonzalez: 1-3
Lewis: 2-4, HR, RBI, R
Cooper: 0-4
Curtis: 3-4, HR, R, RBI
Davis: 1-3
Wint: 1-4
Benoit: 0-3
Larson: 0-0

C.Royal: 6 innings pitched, 6 hits, 4 runs, 6 strikeouts, loss
B.Garlobo: 1 inning pitched, 1 hit
S.Claussen: 1 inning pitched, 2 hits, 1 run, 1 strikeout

I'm now pretty sure that team names aren't limited to one use like previous years, because there's an option to change your team name, which I'm considering doing if I can think of anything. I'm open to suggestions.

Not bad; looks like you held your own against the Sox.

As for names...I can't really think of any right now.

Colorado Rockies at Boston Red Sox (0-1)

Rockies: 5

The Red Sox pitching was about the same in this game, but their offense was much better, dominating the Rockies pitching, Eddy Gonzalez was a double away from the cycle.

Blanco: 1-5, R
Staton: 1-4, R, K
Gonzalez: 4-5, 3B, HR, 2 RBI
Lewis: 4-5, HR, 3 RBI, 3 R
Ortiz: 1-5, HR, 2 RBI, R, 2 K
Curtis: 3-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI, K
Davis: 0-4
Wint: 1-4, R, 2 K

Interesting. I've never tried Diamond Dynasty in depth, but I've always been meaning to.

If there's ever a time to try Diamond Dynasty, I would say it's definitely not in the first day or two of the game coming out. This year and last year Diamond Dynasty has had pretty bad bugs in the first couple days.

I was one of the very few people that was actually able to make a team today up until a few minutes ago when they fixed something, they still have things to work out though.

It's really fun once they get past all that though. You have a choice between using a bunch of customizable players, a bunch of MLB players, or mixes of both.

There may or may not be an update today. Like my last post mentioned, Diamond Dynasty always has significant bugs in the first few days, and that's exactly what's going on here. Next update will be whenever it's fixed, whether it's later today, or sometime next week.

Finally, an update. It isn't a game update, but it's a start. Diamond Dynasty seems to be working at the moment, the market has let me buy tons of cards which I'm saving for the future at the moment.

I also changed my team name, it's really not much more creative than the last one. But I saw they were a name that had audio included in game, then went into the logo editor to see if I could remake the logo. By the time I was done an awful looking knockoff of the Bruins logo, I found it took to long to quit on the idea, so we're now the Bruins, I changed the uniforms too. I don't know how I can share them if there's a simple way to do so.

Anyone want to be a 2B? I got a dynasty player at the moment that has that as the position with an A- "aptitude", only 30 games left, which is kinda weak for a dynasty player, but it'll take a while to get through all of them. To describe the 2B, he has good contact, but no room for improvement, low power potential, and overall decent potential in fielding and running.

I trained the players already entered in the ways preferred, but unfortunately the players wound up having almost no potential at all. Royal's overall didn't change, and Tucker's increased by one.

Since I don't expect being a dynasty player in my log to be highly sought after, the people who already entered players in can choose to be this 2B, mostly just need a name.

I think I'll enter players in the roster in between seasons (seasons being 5 games in this mode)

Season 1, Game 3:

Boston Bruins at Arizona Diamondbacks

Bruins: 0
Diamondbacks: 3

The Bruins got shutout in their first game under their new name, facing against a phenomenal starting pitcher. Trevor Cahill got the complete game shutout, every time someone was warming up in the bullpen the Bruins awaited them eagerly for a chance to hit someone who throws a fastball, but nobody ever came in to relieve him. Bruins pitching was good, but it didn't matter. Their starting shortstop, Blanco, was injured casually tossing the ball around in the second inning and had to be replaced. Bruins outhit the Diamondbacks 9 to 6, but the Diamondbacks fielding came up big in the clutch.

Blanco: 0-1
Staton: 0-3
Cooper: 2-4, K
Gonzalez: 2-4
Lewis: 1-4, K
Curtis: 0-4, K
Davis: 1-4, K
Wint: 1-4
Larson: 1-4
Kelly: 0-1, BB
Staton: 1-1
Claussen: 0-0

B.Kelly: 6 innings pitched, 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk, 3 strikeouts, loss
S.Claussen: 2 innings pitched, 0 hits, 2 strikeouts

Win: T.Cahill
Loss: B.Kelly
Home Runs: P.Goldschmidt

Season 1, Game 4:

Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Bruins (1-2)

Blue Jays: 10
Bruins: 2

The Bruins were walked all over in this game, as their fielders couldn't field and their batters couldn't hit the knuckleball. What really blew the game open was a 6 run 6th inning by the Blue Jays, the Bruins fielders committed multiple errors in the inning, including 3 double play balls that didn't result in an out. From there the team basically resigned themselves to a loss.

Blanco: 2-4, SB, R
Staton: 2-4, HR, R, RBI, K
Gonzalez: 1-4, 2B, RBI, K
Lewis: 1-4, K
Ortiz: 0-4
Curtis: 0-4
Davis: 0-4, 2 K
Wint: 2-4, K
Larson: 1-4

T.King: 3 innings pitched, 8 hits, 4 runs, 2 strikeouts
B.Garlobo: 2.1 innings pitched, 6 runs, 0 earned runs, 2 strikeouts
B.Lugo: 3.2 innings pitched, 4 hits, 0 runs, 3 strikeouts

Win: R.A. Dickey
Loss: Thurman King
HR: R.Staton, J.Bautista, E.Encarnacion

The Bruins are looking to avoid an embarrassing record in their first season as they host the Nationals in their season finale.

Season 1, Game 5:

Washington Nationals at Boston Bruins (1-3)

Nationals: 5
Bruins: 4

The Bruins general manager is looking entirely at Tucker Davis for this loss, after horribly misplaying a routine flyout that lead to a 2 run inning, he then didn't even reach for a fly ball in the 9th that just barely went for a home run giving the Nationals a 2 run lead late. After all that, he was part of a 9th inning rally that fell short, when on second, the batter managed a single that could have tied the game, but Davis nearly fell over rounding third base and wound up out at the plate by several feet. If not for his 2 hit night, he might have started his last game with this team. The management will watch him closely next season to see if he can turn things around before going immediately for a replacement.

Blanco: 0-4, K
Staton: 0-1
Staton: 0-4
Gonzalez: 3-4, 2B, K
Lewis: 1-4, K
Ortiz: 2-3
Cooper: 0-1
Curtis: 0-3
Castle: 1-1, R
Davis: 2-4, R
Wint: 2-4, R
Larson: 2-4, HR, 4 RBI, R

R.Cortes: 8 innings pitched, 6 hits, 3 runs, 9 strikeouts
K.Hanson: 1 inning pitched, 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 strikeouts, loss

Win: Henry Rodriguez
Loss: Kevin Hanson
Save: Rafael Soriano
HR: F.Larson, A.LaRoche

Bruins outhit the Nationals 13-9.

Big changes for Bruins heading into season 2:

After a humiliating 1-4 opening season, the Bruins are looking for some help with some big new players. David Ortiz will join the team as a 1B/DH and mentor to all the younger hitters. Joel Hanrahan and Jason Motte will join the team to be a great couple relievers and hope to hold down any close leads the Bruins get. Gio Gonzalez joins the team as their new ace starter. Dynasty player Shawn Thornton will also join the team at second base, his contact hitting skill will be appreciated by a team that is struggling to manufacture runs.

Hopefully, these changes will be able to get the Bruins a couple wins in season 2.

Shawn Thornton wound up being an 80 overall to start, after investing in training, he's an 86 overall with good contact and speed, batting leadoff. You probably know what to expect from the MLB players I activated.

Season 2, Game 1:

Boston Bruins (0-0) at Minnesota Twins

Bruins: 8
Twins: 2

The Bruins new additions clearly paid off in a big win over the Twins. Gio Gonzalez was able to finish out a complete game with no earned runs allowed, despite being long out of energy. Eddy Gonzalez won player of the game with a couple home runs. Thornton and Ortiz both hit a couple doubles. Davis went hitless but his managers had no problem because he made no fielding mistakes, and even made a brilliant play off of what should have been an easy double off the wall, he barehanded it and fired a perfect throw into second for the out.

Thornton: 4-5, 2 2B, 2 R
Blanco: 1-5, R, RBI, K
Cooper: 2-4, 2B, R, RBI
Ortiz: 3-5, 2 2B, 2 R, RBI
Gonzalez: 3-5, 2 HR, 2 R, 5 RBI
Lewis: 1-3, BB
Davis: 0-4, K
Curtis: 0-4, K
Benoit: 0-3

G.Gonzalez: 9 innings pitched, 7 hits, 2 runs, 0 earned runs, 1 walk, 13 strikeouts, win

Win: Gio Gonzalez
Loss: Vance Worley
HR: E.Gonzalez (2), J.Willingham

Season 2, Game 2:

Houston Astros at Boston Bruins (1-0)

Astros: 2
Bruins: 3

The Bruins just barely got a win out of this game, getting solid pitching and just enough offense to get by. In the end, Tucker Davis was the winning run as he somehow crushed a home run into center field over 400 feet. The Astros runs came off the weakest home run you'll ever see, just barely fair and only around 300 feet. Motte got the save in his first appearance by throwing nothing but the 4 seam fastball. The Bruins showed great ability to make contact in this game, as none of their batters struck out.

Thornton: 2-4, R
Blanco: 2-4
Cooper: 1-4, RBI
Ortiz: 1-4, HR, RBI, R
Gonzalez: 0-2, BB
Lewis: 0-3
Davis: 1-3, HR, RBI, R
Curtis: 1-3, 2B
Benoit: 1-3

C.Royal: 6 innings pitched, 4 hits, 0 runs, 3 strikeouts, win
J.Shannon: 1 inning pitched, 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 strikeout, hold
J.Hanrahan: 1 inning pitched, 2 runs, 2 hits, 3 strikeouts, hold
J.Motte: 1 inning pitched, 0 hits, 0 runs, 2 strikeouts, save

Win: Case Royal (1-1)
Loss: Bud Norris
Save: Jason Motte (1)
HR: Davis, Ortiz, Lowrie

The manager was reached for a brief comment after the game, he simply stated "That big home runs by Davis will definitely be remembered when the offseason comes and we're adding in new players".
