I don't think we've had any hockey logs on here. I'm going to start one and make it very similar to Prediction's Dbacks log, except it's a hockey log. I'm going to play as the Edmonton Oilers, as they look to make the postseason for the first time since 2006. Roster: |

Will check this out. Time to finally make something out of all these top draft picks, right? |

The Oilers dropped the opener, 7-2. Cam Talbot and the defence looked absolutely atrocious. The only positives came from the goalscorers, Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall. The Oilers put up another awful defensive effort, exposing major issues. They will have to patch this hole before it costs them their season early on. The Oilers fell to 0-3 with a 3-1 loss to Dallas. They are now exploring different options at goalie. |

The Oilers stunned St. Louis on their home opener, winning 7-5. They trailed 5-2 with 15:00 to go in the third, but jscored five unanswered goals to win. Connor McDavid scored his first career goal. BREAKING: THE OILERS ACQUIRE ANTII RAANTA FROM THE RANGERS; WILL MAKE FIRST START AFTER FLAMES GAME Antii Raanta did not start, and the Oilers were blanked. The Canucks defeated the Oilers 5-4, spoiling a comeback effort. The Oilers are in a tough position, 1-5 on the year. |

Oilers lose... Again. Oilers drop a heartbreaker in OT... Andrej Sekera let the Caps slide right by to win in OT. Oilers are now 1-6-1. Boom! Connor McDavid scores with 45 seconds left to give the Oilers a huge divisional win. They are now 2-6-1. |

Oilers win a huge one against the dominant Wild after Benoit Pouliot's goal with 8.7 remaining. Another epic finish! Oilers drop a heartbreaker. Tied it at 4 after trailing 4-0, but gave up 2 awful goals to Montreal. 3-7-1. |

Oilers give up a last minute goal to fall to 3-8-1. They called up Nikita Nikitin and sent down Brandon Davidson. The Oilers dropped another game, losing 5-1 to the dominant Flyers. Two things. Our defense is garbage, and Antii Raanta sucks. Changes need to be made. |

OILERS SIGN RAY EMERY Finally the Oilers have an experienced goaltender. Ray Emery has been signed to try to save an already dead season. |
