Chicago Sun Bears Ink Running Back Kevin Jones to Deal Chicago-- The Chicago Bears have announced the signing of former Detroit Lions Running Back Kevin Jones to a 1-year, 3-million dollar deal. Jones, a former first-round pick by the Lions in 2004, rushed for 8 touchdowns last year. "We felt that Kevin could help us on third down situations, as well as at the goalline, so he should be a useful signing no doubt" said swaggy GM Power Pros 27. Jones is expected to be the Bears 3rd-down back. Rookie Matt Forte will still be used as the primary back. |

Chicago Sun Chicago Wins in Surprising Blowout Chicago-- The Bears stuck to their gamelan and beat Peyton Manning and the powerful Indianapolis Colts in a 37-10 road win on Sunday Night Football. They used a balanced attack on offense and a powerful defense to destroy the Colts. "The Colts offense is based on timing" said Bears Defensive Tackle Tommie Harris, who had three sacks. "If you can disrupt that, then you can beat them easily." The scoring got started in the first quarter, after the Colts punted, the Bears drove down the field for a 52-yard Robbie Gould field goal. The next drive, Peyton Manning threw a dump off pass to Anthony Gonzalez, but safety Mike Brown forced a fumble, leading to another field goal. With the score 9-0, Manning threw a bad pass right into the hands of Charles Tillman. Kyle Orton proceeded to throw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Mark Bradley. Manning lead the Colts on a long drive, but they could only muster a field goal before the half. The second half began in wild fashion. Devin Hester took the opening kick 95-yards down the field for a touchdown to make it 23-3, then Kenton Keith took the ensuing return to the house to make our 23-10. Kyle Orton would lead the team on 2 more scoring drives, ending in a 7-yard TD catch for Hester, and a 1-yard run for Matt Forte. Game Ball: Tommie Harris, for getting three sacks and disrupting the run. |
