Post subject:  If I were the GM of the Texas Rangers Ft. RANGERSMVP11

Hey everybody, this is RANGERSMVP11 and in this topic, I will post what I would do if I were in Jon Daniels shoes as the Rangers GM. I will give player-to- player analysis. Here it goes...

I'll start with the catchers.

2016 Texas Rangers Roster

Robinson Chirinos - Bring Back on Team for 2016 as backup. I know his abilities well. He will hit around .220, and hit 15-20 home runs a year, with 50-ish RBI's. His defense I know for a fact is really good, and he works well with the staff. (Except Darvish, Yu only throws to back-up catchers)

Carlos Corporan - Don't bring back here, we can get better back up with better abilities.

Jorge Alfaro - Very questionable sitiuation here. He's a top prospect, but suffered a bad injury at AA Frisco this year. Will not be with big league club in 2016, unless as a September Call-Up, or if things twist again.

Tomas Telis - AAA Round Rock Starting Catcher, If not I will look to move him in a deal. Even if it says his slated to start 2016 in AAA Round Rock, don't be surprised if he's dealt in one of the deals I make.

First Basemen

Mitch Moreland - Nothing Much to say here. I want him back badly. I love his "D" and is a solid #5-7 hitter in my planned 2016 ball club. I expect him to hit around .280, hit 20+homers, and drive in 75-85 runs.

Prince Fielder (Mainly DH) - He's a keeper in Texas. Will be here for a while. As long as he's having fun, he'll be great for the rest of the years in his contract, mainly as the DH. Expect to see Fielder hit .300+, 25+, and drive in 100+ every year. He's my #3 hitter.

Second Baseman/Shortstop/Utility Guys

Rougned Odor - He's part of the future and just needs to stay consistent throughout a whole year. He just can't lose confidence in his abilities mid-year. I expect him to be a starter in the club, unless I deal him in a BLOCKBUSTER.

Adam Rosales - 2015 was his last as a Ranger. He'll be gone, I will replace him in free agency.

Elvis Andrus - I have to keep him, unless I deal him in a BLOCKBUSTER. Banister just needs to keep him focused.

Adrian Beltre - I feel awful saying this, but it's time for a change. It's time to start winning. I'm almost assured I will deal him, if I find the right trade partners. Rangers fans, you'll be happy about his replacement though, and the return for him. Trust me. Your in good hands.

You were allowed to do this when you had Prince as an avatar, but now you are a disgrace.

yeah, no. Chirinos is starting and Corporan's the backup until Telis or Alfaro get called up. you don't need to look for another catcher because there are far more pressing needs than upgrading over a solid veteran backup; also because they'd only be around for a year at most before Telis/Alfaro push them out

oh, we know you love D

while it's easy to replace utility infielders, it's not easy to let a guy like Rosales go and just assume whoever you bring in can fit in as well in the clubhouse as Rosie does

this is one of the dumbest, most ignorant things I have ever read. also *you're

also his replacement will be Joey Gallo, there is no debating this

also don't capitalize BLOCKBUSTER because no one would ever do any of the trades you're going to suggest

You do realize you CANT trade Beltre right? Do you know nothing about baseball!

Edit: Beltre is 10-5 guy, so it's literally impossible to trade him

Alex Guerrero's contract is set up in this weird way so any team that traded for him wouldn't have his rights for 2016 IIRC

also you can't just MAGICALLY ACQUIRE these players, doesn't look like you gave anything up to get Guerrero or Young/Venable

I will pay more attention to J-Up, trade a few pieces to free up money, and then go after J-Up. Would be a great fit at the Globe.
