Compared to all the stupid shit in the thread (and there's a lot of it), extending Carlos Gomez wouldn't be hpporrible

He's been a complete bust this season, in case you haven't realized

Yeah, because a .266/.334/.431 slashline is just horrible

It kinda is, after he hit .284 each of the last two seasons, hit 24 homers in 2013, 23 homers last season, and all those numbers you listed are down by a lot from last season

So even in a down year, he's still having an above average season. Because of said down year, you'd certainly get him at a discount, at least compared to how much he would've gotten paid if he signed an extension after 2014. He's only 29, so it's highly unlikely he'll completely fall off the table, and he's shown he has the potential to be an MVP candidate

That's an above average season? Red Sox fans have very low expectations.

It's a 109 OPS+ and 111 wRC+. So yes

Are you retarded? That's well above average, and coupled with his great defense he's a very good player even in a down year

Yes, hitting .266 with 8 homers and going 7-12 on stolen bases is amazing.

Also, the irony of calling someone "retarted."

2016 Texas Rangers

Rotation
1. Yu Darvish - returning from TJ, could swap him with Hamels in 1 or 2 spot
2. Cole Hamels - great pickup from PHI, will be great down the stretch
3. Andrew Cashner* - view trade below, what do you think?
4. Derek Holland - solid 4 guy, should replace Colby Lewis
5. Chi Chi Gonzalez - I want him to step up and prove he is rotation worthy the whole season

*I am considering bringing back Colby, he's just means to much to the club not to bring him back. Great Leader

*Thinking about trading Martin Perez to free up some payroll

Bullpen
1. Nick Martinez - Ummmmmm, maybe a long man?
2. Brandon Mauer* - Trade review below
3. Sam Freeman - Another lefty out of pen, he's a hometown guy, so.......
4. Jake Deikman - Recently acquired, I like his repertoire
5. Keone Kela - young guy, should be in pen for a while
6. Darren O'Day* - review FA details below, Allstar this year
7. Shawn Tolleson - the closer, and is a hometown guy

*I will show AAA depth later, I will have more arms to be shuttling in from around Round Rock, just in case

Pitching Moves

Trade with San Diego

TEX acquires Andrew Cashner and Brandon Mauer for Jurickson Profar, Frank Lopez, and Ryan Cordell

Darren O'Day - 2 yrs./6.8 mil

Catchers
1. Robinson Chirinos - he's staying, one of JD's guys
2. Carlos Corporan - I'm a fan of him, solid backup

Infielders
1. Prince Fielder - Will be DH, MVP Candidate
2. Mitch Moreland - plays a solid 1B
4. Rougned Odor - His defense needs to improve, but he's part of future.......
5. Elvis Andrus - He's a leader, and I think Bannister can keep him focused throughout the way
6. Adrian Beltre - Big presence here in TX

Utility
1. Adam Rosales - Amazing, he can play anywhere
2. Kike Hernandez* - He has a special bond with Corporan, Trade details below

Trade with Los Angeles (NL)

*TEX acquires Kike Hernandez for a PTBNL

Outfielders
1. Josh Hamilton - $6 million per year is a bargain for my starting RF, I'll take anything out of this guy
2. Delino DeShields - Starkplug, he's amazing, he'll be here for a while if he keeps it up
3. Yoenis Cespedes - Would pay for this guy!! Impact starting LF, going to move Hambone to RF.
4. Leonys Martin - Solid #4 outfielder, has great defense and speed vital late in games

*Cespedes Deal 5 yrs, 92 million, 6th year option for 20 million.

Would then Trade Choo for Ethier from LAD for some cash. I would then trade Ethier and cash to Atlanta for Andrew McKirahan, Manny Banuelos, and APTBNL

*In this deal, I get two arms I need for the bullpen. It's a need and I address it by trading Choo away to LAD. I see LAD also trading away Crawford to another team, so.....

So you basically took everything from the chat today and posted it here. Nice.
Also, I hate to break it to you, but Hamels is not going to carry Texas to the playoffs this year
