This is the place where I would normally put some really long update with Carson Harris or something, but not this time.

This time I'm just going to explain the idea in the first person.

I am going to be starting a log in Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu 2012 ("JPPY12") using a league made of 12 arrange teams. The teams are all made of Success players- 10 through board game with a handful of normal guys sprinkled in, and the last 2 painstakingly created through Pawafuru and/or Mantsuman success modes (there are 3 colleges to choose from, plus the board game mode).

I will provide a preview for each team including the team's name, looks into its overall build, pitching situation, and hitting/fielding, as well as abilities for several "key players" (some teams will have more than others). At the end, my advisor Powerprosfan31 ("PPFan" or "Tweav") and I will try and decide which team I will be using, league configurations, and whatnot. (There are several teams that are out of the picture, and which ones they are may become obvious after reading the team previews and looking at the team names).

I have completed 9 of the teams, and 7 of the team previews (I need to get abilities for a handful of players). I'm currently in the process of copying them to my iTouch one by one (manually) and I'll get them up separately as well (maybe).

A few important details about the league:

- There will be 6 teams in the Central (no DH) and Pacific (DH) leagues each.

- Each and every game is to be played at Blue Stadium. ALL OF THEM

- Box score and summary updates.

Until next time (which will be quite soon),

Sweet! Although, can this really be considered a squeal?

FAILS

The Fails (part 1) are bad, to say the least. They have a 6-man pitching staff (not rotation) headlined by starters Yabuta and Kim, who can go far into games but with no discernable skill, and über-veteran righty Nakamura, a reliever with a decent slider. Offensively, catcher Byakuren makes contact occasionally but has rarely hit the ball out of the infield this spring.

KEY PLAYERS

Matsui (RP): 136, E, F, SNK 2, SNK 1, SHU 2, Recovery 4, Dr. K
Motori (OF): 1GDCDGD, GD Pinch Hitter
Yahara (2B): 3EFEEEF

---

FAILS2

The Fails (part 2) are bad as well, but maybe not quite as bad as their counterparts. Female pitcher Shizaka and right-hander Otare are part of a shallow pitching staff, but Tan and Ishikawa make up a (relatively) strong right side of the infield.

KEY PLAYERS

Shizaka (RP): 130, E, F, DCB 2, SNK 2, Recovery 4, GD Reflexes
Tan (2B): 2DEDDEE

You created two teams named "The Fails"?

FLYERS

The Flyers are made up of my favorite players, including ace Ichiro Ohno and Atsubare, one of the "Big Three" third basemen in the league. Okojoba and Wang make up a solid bullpen, and the Flyers are well-balanced on offense and defense. Catcher Kuroda and first baseman Takahashi are solid all-around, and shortstop Zapporo provides above-average power but below-average contact. Needless to say, rookie GM Carson Harris did well in building this team.

KEY PLAYERS

Ohno (SP): 170, A, A, CHG 4, KN 2
Okojoba (P): 149, E, D, SNK 4
Takahashi (1B): 2DCDDDB, Clutch Hit 4
Atsubare (3B): 3CAFCCC

---

LIFTERS

The Lifters are not a great team unless there is a bonus for towering flies. They don't have very good pitching, but Amemiya (another of the Big Three), outfielder Arazaki, and first baseman Sugawara provide some punch, and not just in the air. They will be relied on to hit 30+ home runs apiece, or the Lifters may find themselves in trouble.

KEY PLAYERS

Amori (P): 133, D, D, H-SLD 2, VS LH Batter 4
Sugawara (1B): 4EBCDEF
Iwamura (SS): 4EDDGBF, Power Hitter, Cannon Arm
Arazaki (OF): 4CCDDDF, VS Lefty 4, Base Running 4

HAWKS

The Hawks are a team of non-Japanese players who mean business. Second baseman Young, catcher Nelson, and right-hander Jim Miller look to lead them into contention. Miller's fellow starting pitcher Hamilton is a control expert, and Adams mixes things up with a palmball and a shuuto.

KEY PLAYERS

Miller (SP): 147, D, B, SLD 2, CB 1, KN 2, w/RISP 4
Adams (SP): 129, E, C, PALM 1, H-SHU 3
Young (2B): A contact, C power, C run speed

---

GLOVES

This team is called the Gloves for a good reason; they have stellar fielding and a halfway decent offense to boot. Their starting pitchers can go rather deep into games and will need to eat up a lot of innings to keep relievers Okaoki and Ikari fresh. Third baseman Handa may be the worst fielder, but he is likely the biggest power threat.

KEY PLAYERS

Watanabe (SP): 133, E, A, SLD 2, FORK 2, VS LH Batter 4
Nokito (2B): A fielding, A (99) error resistance
Saito (SS): D contact, D power, B run speed
Awamoro (OF): 2DEDEBF, GD Infield Hitter

---

FINS

This team doesn't seem to have any real specialty. Tazina, Sasumi, and Kura will lead the pitching, and Cabazuno, an all-around catcher with a great arm, and Agoda, a home-run threat at third base, will look to lead the offense.

KEY PLAYERS

Tazina (P): 143, D, D, DCB 3, SNK 3, SHU 5, Consistency 4
Kura (RP): 137, F, E, eephus, SLD 1, SCB 3, Recovery 4
Cabazuno (C): 3EDDBFD, Base Running 4, Throwing 4, GD Infield Hitter, GD Block
Agoda (3B): F contact, C power

The bad thing is, since I'm so short on pitchers with halfway decent stamina, almost everyone with D or higher stamina (and definitely everyone with C or higher stamina) is having to be used as a starter. That still leads most teams with 4-man and none with 6-man rotations.
