Today was finally the 29th of October and I'd get to go to the Swallows vs. Giants game. It was a very close and interesting game, the Swallows ended up winning 3-2 to take game 1.

Dude, he is the Sapporo Bears, not either one of those.

I woke up on October 30th ready to go watch some more NPB playoffs. This time I'd be going to game 2 of the Fighters Dragons game. The Saitama Seibu Lions were able to pull off game 2, 8-1 and take the series 2-0. This game ended Yu Darvish and the Fighters' season and most likely ended Darvish's NPB career. The Yomiuri Giants ended up winning game 2 over the Tokyo Yakult Swallows 6-2. That win tied the series at 1-1. Next game takes all. That means I am going to that game tomorrow.

Current Play-off Standings
Saitama Seibu Lions 2
Hokkaido Nippon Ham-Fighters 0

Yomiuri Giants 1
Tokyo Yakult Swallows 1

League Championship Round (Best of 5)

Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks -
Saitama Seibu Lions -

Chunichi Dragons -
Yomiuri Giants/Tokyo Yakult Swallows -

After the game, I went home and called up Dontrelle Willis, I had called to tell him that I was hiring him as the manager. Dontrelle seemed very excited.

Hey all, I just need 2 scouts, I need people that own JPPY '11. I know Powerprosfan31 has it and Power Pro Jr, I think, and oh yeah, Shuuto12? I'm specifically offering the scout positions to these people. Thanks!

On October 31st, Halloween, I got ready to go to the game and left for Yomiuri. The game ended, final score, 3-1. The Swallows ended up eonnign the series and would move on. Here are the current playoff standings.

Saitama Seibu Lions 2
Hokkaido Nippon Ham-Fighters 0

Tokyo Yakult Swallows 2
Yomiuri Giants 1

League Championship Series (Best of 5)

Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks -
Saitama Seibu Lions -

Chunichi Dragons -
Tokyo Yakult Swallows -

After the game, I had quickly rushed home to take my kids trick-or-treating. Henry had dressed up as a cyborg, and Vanessa dressed up as Cinderella. The kids collected a huge bag of candy. After they trick-or-treated, I put them to bed at 10:30, and then went to a party with our neighbors. It was good to know that they could speak some English. They introduced us to a lot of their friends. Finally at 2:00 I went home for good. I decided I would go to game 1 of the Dragons, Swallows series on November 2nd, and then game 1 of the Hawks, Lions series on the third.

Fast-forwarding to December 1st. With the playoffs over the offseason is officially beginning. The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks won the Championship and are installed in the Japanese baseball pinnacle. The Sapporo Bears and Kyoto Whalers will not take place in this year's offseason but will do the expansion draft in which 50 young players will enter.

I had recently been talking with my tech-savvy American friend Daniel Bjorkman and asked him if he could help us come up with a logo. Ryo said that our team colors were light blue, brown, and warm gray. Here's what Danny was able to come up with. Image Obviously, this is just a rough draft.

After awhile of hanging out with Ryo we have started to become good friends. He also revealed to me that he had hired a team treasurer, Sony Ota. He also was able to set u a contract with a new local Sapporo network and the broadcaster is Daisuke Inuza. I just couldn't wait til January for the expansion draft.

What do you guys think of the logo?

Is that actually in the game?

I don't have access to the game right now, but I don't think that logo is in the game. I made it with an app on my iPhone.

December 8th, 2011

Henry: Hey Daddy! I want to get a Shinnosuke Abe jersey for Christmas! He's my favorite player!

Me: Shinnsouke Abe is on the Yomiuru Giants though, he's on the other team.

Henry: ...

Henry: Can you try to get him on the team Daddy?!

Me: I can try, but he costs a lot of money becuase he's really good.

Henry: Can I still get his jersey?

Me: Well, I'm not gonna tellyou what I get you for Christmas am I?

Henry: Aw...

Me: Come on Henry, it's time for bed now, you just have one more day of school tomorrow and then it's Christmas break!

Henry: Yay! I can't wait til Christmas!

I can't wait til the draft, I thought to myself.

After putting Henry to bed I did some scouting on the expansion draft players myself. Nothing really to explain. Then, I started looking up scouting profiles online. I thought to myself, I'll need to get two scouts before the beginning of 2012!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anybody with Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu please apply! I really need two more scouts!
