The Bears slammed the BayStars last night behind DeMarcus Gunderson's 2 home runs and 4 runs batted in. Mima had a solid game for Yokohama last night smashing 2 dingers for himself getting 5 RBI. Sora Maeda pitched 5 and a third for the win allowing 1 run. Takasaki allowed 8 runs in 4 and 2/3 of pitching.

Bears cream Whalers in 2013 season opener!

The Bears hit, pitched, and hit more in last night's season opener against their rivals, the Whalers. In the first, DeMarcus Gunderson smashed an RBI double, and Ryosei Dan ripped an RBI double to make the lead 2-0 Bears on the first. In the second, Kitoaji drove in a run on a single, and Gunderson smoked a 3-R HR, making it 6-0 Bears. In the third, Hakeyama drove an RBI single, and Gunderson smacked a 2-R single, his 5th and 6th RBI's of the game in the third inning. Yamaguchi then smoked an RBI double to make it 10-0 Bears, in the third. In the fourth, Bobby Crosby bombed a 2-R HR, his first of his NPB career, and Kitoaji got a base knock, extending the lead to 13. In the top of the fifth, the Whalers got on the board with a Hirano RBI double, an RBI ground out by Takeushi, and an RBI single by Soma, making it 13-3. In the bottom of the fifth, Bobby Crosby got an RBI single, Nick Lockhart drove in a run on a ground out, and Koyano Shin slammed an RBI double to make it 16-3. After that inning, the rest of the game was scoreless, allowing the Bears to snag an opening day win again, 16-3.

Back in October, when no one was following my logs I really wanted someone to follow my logs. So I made this second account so people would follow this log, hopefully.
