Knights Blow Out Buffaloes

Image
Image – Shima and Kura

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – The Knights won, by a score of 7-1, hopefully turning around the Knights’ early slide. Young Hiroshi Shima threw a masterpiece, saying afterwards, “I did well.”

The game ended on a good note as well, as the newest player on the team, Mitsuo Reiza, made an excellent diving catch to end the game!

And that’s about it.

Knights Got Beat

Image
Image – Takemori and Nagai

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – Well, the Knights have fallen to a sub .500 record for the second time this season, and the second time in their existence. And with this loss, they’ve dropped to 4th place in the Pacific League. “I’m not sure what’s going on,” GM Jack Allen stated in a press conference, “it doesn’t seem like these guys are giving it their all.” After two championship seasons, maybe the Knights are taking it easy. Manager Kensou Mori also spoke after the game, “We’ve got to whip into shape, and soon.”

The Knights lost two huge opportunities to score, as twice they had the bases loaded, in the 3rd, and the 8th, and both times, nothing happened. Kanazawa grounded out in the 3rd, and Reiza grounded into a double play in the 8th.

Also, pitcher Tsukiya Yamato is continuing with his struggles, and has dropped to 0-2 with a 10.3 ERA. He said he was going to work on his windup to see if he can get any better.

Oh boy.

I must say, it's a bit more interesting now that you're struggling. It was getting a bit boring to just see you win every game! :P It's nice to see that other teams are growing much more competitive.

I completely agree!

I usually want to lose as much as I want to win.

I'm glad it'll actually be tough this year!

Shen Shows Up

Image
Image - Shen and Shigeno

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – What a tight game. The Knights won, though, and Jian Shen showed his stuff, showing that the pitching staff isn’t completely out of it. He let up only 2 hits, one in the 2nd, and one in the 8th, which, strangely enough were the two innings the Knights scored in. The Knights’ two runs came from a homerun by Shigeno in the 2nd, and an RBI single by Kura in the 8th.

Shen commented after the game, “I was feeling it today, and had plenty of help from the defense in the game. Plus, my curveball was working well today.”

The Knights Are Back

Image
Image – Yamato and Kanazawa

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – Yamato has been working hard on his windup for some time now, fine tuning it. And it seems that the hard work has really paid off. He now takes a little bit longer with each delivery, and has improved tenfold since his last appearance. “My new windup seems to be working for me. I’m glad I’m finally getting out of this slump!” Yamato said.

Also, the newest Marine, Shibahara, got his first career hit, which was a double to left-center in the top half of the 5th inning! So, congratulations to him!

Had to catch up on my favorite log again. :)

This quote pretty much sums up the season for the Knights.

Congrats on another title!

Cool to see Darvish and Wada as well as Kawasaki and Aoki on the Japanese team after them coming here.
Same for W-Y Chen for the Chinese team.

Something's curious to me though.
How does it take Jack 3 and a half hours to call Reiza?
