I think with the record as it is, you're probably way ahead in the standings. I think it's time Techer gets a start. Just saying. ;)

He'll get a start soon, don't worry!

I was just sitting in my office when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come on in." I said
Kensou walked in
"Hey Jack, can I talk to you about something?" He said
"Sure, what is it?"
"I don't want Shimozono to play in the outfield any longer."
"Wh-why? He's the only one who'll fit out there."
"He's much too aggressive. Already, he's twice sprained his left wrist. Who knows, next time, he could fracture it, and be out for a few months, or he could break it, which would be even worse."
"Although you are correct, I want to keep him out there for the remainder of the season. We don't have much left of it anyways, so we'll deal with this issue next year."
"Very well Jack. I'll be seeing you."
"Yep. Bye."
He left.
"Great, now I need to find an outfielder." I said to myself
And just then, my phone rang.
I picked it up, it was Preston.
"Hello?" I said
"Jack, I've got a player for you to check out!"
"Is he an outfielder?"
"Uh.... Yeah. How'd you know?"
What great timing!
"I'll be right down!"
I hung up the phone and headed down to Preston's office.

I went in.
"Hey Preston. So, who was it that you wanted to show me?" I asked
"Alright, so, this kid would seriously help out in the outfield. I would say that he's even got a better arm than Shimozono."
"You're kidding me."
"I most certainly am not."
"That's impressive. What else about him?"
"Well, he can hit pretty decently, he's got some speed, he's a fine fielder, but he does make his fair share errors. He's similar to Shimozono in that sense."
"So, what are his stats?"
"Alright, so, here they are:

Reiji Maeda - OF
AGE, 2ND POSTION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
19, N/A, L/R, 2, C, E, B, S (100!), B, E
Bio: This kids really got a cannon for an arm, but due to his young age, he hasn't fully embraced it yet. But, nonetheless, he can really field.
Personality: He's a bit conceited, but knows his place."

"Let's get him." I said
"Alright, he'll be entering the draft at the end of the year. Hopefully we'll be able to pick him up."
"Hopefully."
I left, and walked up to my office.
I'll have to tell Kensou about him.

90 Wins, and A Techer Masterpiece

Image
Image - Kanazawa and Techer

Fukuoka Dome, Chūō-ku, Fukuoka – 31 year old Ryan Techer, the pitching coach of our Knights, showed that he is still quite the pitcher. He threw a complete game shutout, striking out 2 in the process against the second place Hawks. “I bet no one expected me to do that, eh?” He said afterwards. But, in truth, Sugiuchi did well too, despite the fact he let up 5 runs. Really, his only mistake was to Kurihara. Which one should never do.

Also, this win was the Knights’ 90th on the year! Plus, players of the month were announced today, and Hiyama won posting a 1.25 ERA and getting 4 wins! Congratulations to him!

Late Inning Surge Isn’t Enough, Knights Still Clinch Division!

Sapporo Dome, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo – We’ve done it! For the second year in a row, the Knights have claimed the Pacific League, and by a lot too. Although, this game was not a particularly good one, with the Knights losing a heartbreaker and all.

In fact, the Knights wouldn’t even score until the top of the 8th, thanks to a nice Ushida homerun (his 3rd of the year) to dead center. It would get even more interesting in the 9th, with a Kurihara solo shot with 2 outs to make the difference a meager 1 run. But, Darivsh hung in there, and got Kura to ground out to end the game. The 2 homeruns were the Knights’ only hits that weren’t singles, which is pretty bad, considering they’ve got the best offense in the NPB. “Yes, true, this was a disappointing game, but hey, we still clinched the division!” Manager Kensou Mori stated after the game in his press conference.

Shen did well in his own right, gaining his first career loss in the game, “Damn. I am displeased with my performance, and also the teams. We could’ve done much better. I could have done much better. Next time. Next time.” He said

Shimozono Has a Fantastic Return!

Image - Yamato and Shimozono

Miyagi Baseball Stadium, Sendai – Shimozono’s back, and he hasn’t missed a beat. He went 3-4, with a double, and a whopping FOUR RBIs to lead the Knights to victory! In fact, in his second at-bat back, he hit an RBI single to center to give the Knights a 1-0 lead in the top half of the 5th! “It feels good to be back! I’m happy to be back at catcher too, although I don’t want to take away anything from Terauchi, who’s a mighty fine catcher in his own respect.” He said

Also, Kurihara hit 2 homeruns in the game to increase his total to 60, making him the only player ever to hit 60 homeruns twice. Heck, he’s the only one to even hit 60 once!

Last Game Is A Victory!

Image
Image - Fujita and Kanazawa

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – The Knights have won their last game of the season to finish the season with a 105-34-3, the best record in the NPB! This game was a breeze, to boot. The Knights beat the struggling Marines by a score of 6-2, with Kurihara tying his homerun record from last year, and Kanazawa hitting a homerun as well. The two of them hit a combined 114 homeruns this year for the Knights, which is more than the Marines had, in TOTAL. Insane!

Anyways, congratulations to the Knights! The playoffs will be starting October 7th, so watch out for them!
