HOLY SHOOT! How do you get THAT good of players in the draft? All the fielders I draft are all G,E,F, and MAYBE an occasional D.

I own the game and I've never seen players this good. The best I've seen is a 28 year old C,C,D,D,D,D player.

Did you use one of those cards?

Well, what I do is import players via cards, and just say I pick them up in the draft. I did that with the first two, that last guy though, he was just lucky, and awesome. (He has a horrible mustache though).

Yeah, I used two actually, to pick up the Katsuki brothers! :D

The Starters

I awake to the sharp sound of the road work that is being done down the street from my house.
I check the clock, 5,32... Must go back to sleep.
As much as I try, it doesn't work, the persistent noise, and also my excitement for the new season, which is just a day away now!
I was just sitting, watching TV, or going on the internet for 2 or 3 hours.
And wouldn't ya know, I got a call from the owner.
"Jack, come down to the office, we need you to help determine the lineups and everything." He said
"I'll be right there, sir."
And he hung up.

I was off to the office, to have the yearly meeting of the people who have made the starting lineup.
I got there, and got straight to the presentation.
"Okay everyone. So, this is what I have planned for the lineups for the 2013 season."

Starting Rotation

1. Minoru Iwata - L
2. Atsushi Nohmi - L

6. Riki Kawamoto - CF [L/R]
7. Ryo Katsuki - 1B [L/L]
8. Tetsuji Katsuki - 3B [S/R]
9. PITCHER

(With DH)
1. Takashi Toritani - SS [L/R]
2. Fumihiko Saito - 2B [R/R]
3. Kazuhiro Wada - LF [R/R]
4. Kazuteru Tani - RF [S/R]
5. Kenji Johjima - DH [R/R]
6. Kiyoshi Abe - C [L/R]
7. Riki Kawamoto - CF [L/R]

You can use cards to import players in this game... It's confusing, unless you see it.

A Tough Loss

Koshien Stadium, Nishinomiya, Hyōgo – This game started with a bang, but, after that it settled down. Minoru Iwata’s first pitch of the game broke Kazuki Fukuchi’s bat, resulting in a single. Iwata pitched fine in his own respect, going 5 innings, and letting up 3, while striking out 3. Although the Tigers offense couldn’t get anything going, scoring only 1 run, coming from a single by Kawamoto. Ishikawa did excellent, and went 6 2/3, letting up only 1 run.

Today was the debut of the Katsuki brothers, and they didn’t do so well, going 1 for 7 between the two of them. The only hit was a single by Tetsuji in the 8th. Also today, Furuhashi got an at-bat, pinch hitting for the pitcher, he roped a single.

Hopefully, this won’t be an omen for the rest of the year, as the Tigers left 6 men on base.

- Takaharu Sonada

"Come down here, Preston's got someone for you to look at." And then the owner hung up.
I went down to see Preston, and on the way there, I saw Mark leaving (it was pretty late).
"Hey, Jack! Ooh boy have I found a good new player. His name is Tomochika Nakazawa. He's fresh out of college, and has been completely destroying the competition. He batted over .500 in high school (and in the Koshien), and then over .370 in college." Preston said.
"Wow. Where does he play?"
"He plays the outfield, and he has great range, and a decent arm."
"The outfield, huh? Well, we just picked up Wada... So, where would he fit?"
"We'll probably only get a year or two out of Wada, since he is 40, so after that, we can pick up Nakazawa."
"Good point. What are his stats?"
"Oh, right, here they are:

Tomochika Nakazawa
AGE, YEARS PRO, POSITION, 2ND POSITION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
23, 0, OF, N/A, R/L, 3, C, C, A (15!), D, C, D

I forgot to mention," Preston added "That he stole 26 bases in the span of 11 games."
"Awesome. We need someone with speed"
"Right! And we haven't really had a true 'lead-off' guy for a while now, Kawamoto did fine, but we need something more, and I think that he could give us more."
"Agreed. I would say get him, but who knows how Wada will do this year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."
"Alright then, I'll talk more with Mark, ask Todd about him too, he should be able to help you out."
"Sure, thanks Preston."
"No problem Jack."

And I left, with high hopes for the performance of him.
---------------------------------------------------------
And some notes about him.

He has:
Vs. Lefty 5
Clutch Hitter 4
Baserunning 4
And 6 other blue abilities that I don't know the meaning of!
He would be very, very useful.

Thoughts?

Time to get in character (for the first time in months!)

Jack, I think that he would be an excellent addition to the team. He would fit nicely into a leadoff role, which he probably has been doing forever with that kind of speed. I'm sure Wada will probably only last us 2 years at the maximum (unless he's like Kanemoto). So once he retires, we can bring this kid in.

And plus, it'll be nice to have another left-handed fielder in our starting lineup, since we only have one. (I'm a lefty... Lefties rejoice!)

[tm]! It's been forever dude!

Anyways, thanks for the input, I'll probably end up importing him once I get the card to do so.

It has been a long time, since April I believe.
But it's good to be back, I've missed this site.

Um... why are lefties so great? Be proud of who you are! Right handed people live longer than left handed people.(fun fact) I'm a rightie, and so is every one else on my baseball team.

Lefties can only play 1B, OF, or pitch. 'Nuff said.
