Yes. Also, I should have said before, I'm starting the official countdown for Kurihara to get 55!

Current
39

Goal
At least 55

Countdown
17 more!

He's got 40 now! So only 16 more to go! :D

Also, I've put up a poll, do you guys think Kurihara will break Sadaharu Oh's record of 55 homeruns?

I voted yes anyways, but how many games do the Knights have left to play?

I voted yes, especially since he has 48 more games to do so.

Depends on how many more times you're going to play Oh's team. Knowing Power Pros and knowing how realistic they are, the Giants would probably forfeit before they would give up number 56.

I think that they walked Rhodes and Cabrera because they weren't Japanese. Since Kurihara is in fact Japanese, the Japanese pitchers would actually pitch to him if he existed IRL.

Actually after I posted that, I looked him up and he is half taiwanese. His father was from Taiwan and apparently Oh actually faced some discrimination because of it.

I agree. They did the same to Randy Bass as well, he ended his 1985 campaign with 54 homeruns, so I would say your claim is accurate.

Maybe that's why he did the aforementioned...?

Luckily Japan didn't have a steroid era. 1990's-early 2000's= :( for MLB.

Yeah... That was a disappointing time for the MLB...

We were still being affected by it up until 2007. High scoring games, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, and probably a few others. Since we've been restoring normalcy.
On topic: I also voted yes. XD

Yeah, it's really too bad that that happened, and that so many records have an asterisk next to them.
(Me too!)
