...You don't. You do not understand the dialogue without learning Japanese or looking every single character up in a Japanese dictionary. Just feel your way through with trial and error. Use characters' expressions and other visual cues to figure out what's going on. If you're totally stuck, post a picture on here and someone might be able to translate or explain.

Aww, that sucks... Is Success mode as fun as the American versions, because it doesn't seem like it is?

I am thinking about possibly getting this game but I will need a PS3, which we probably will get soon. I am also gonna need help with the translations.

There aren't any colors when picking a position, it goes, as stated before, P, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF

I wouldn't wanna have it any other way. My least favorite part of Success Mode is the dating arcs.

What I like is that the players are much better in this Success mode, so it feels a bit better when you can succeed against these guys than some scrubs who hit worse than some pitchers.

The teams actually pose a challenge most of the time.

And, also, the reason I just train and stuf is because I can't read Japanese all too well. I'm sure that part's great too.

What arcs should I do if I'm in Success Mode? And how do I do Free Time?

Ok, that would explain it. I personally love all of the arcs and storylines and without it, Success mode would be very little fun.

There aren't really arcs, per se, just practice a lot, and you'll be good.

You can date if you want, but I'm not sure what they will result in.

The option with the Pawapuro-kun and the dog is the relax option, and the one with him sleeping is the sleeping option.

For the record, I like the random events, those are cool. I'm just not a fan of using up a turn on an arc when I can practice instead.

I tend to focus more on skills than abilities, so that may be part of why I'm not the biggest fan of the dating arcs.

Oh god, one random event that really annoys me is when your trajectory goes up out of the blue.

I've gotten that twice in some playthroughs, and people who I wanted to be anything but power hitters, had to become power hitters.

It's awful.

By "it" I mean how you guys love the game so much, but I'm not that interested. That would kinda help explain why.
