Our electric closer! He's one of the best in the league, and didn't even let up a run for his first 10 opportunities. He's still doing very well, leading the Pacific League in saves, and tied for second in the NPB, with Samurais closer, Jonny Hoashi

Yeah, there's a ton of options in this game.


By the by, when are you going to be getting 2011?

Most likely my birthday, which is next month. If not, then Christmas, which is when I got 2010.

I'm so jealous of Japan...

I am seriously contemplating getting a PS3 so I can get this game. Also Kurihara, your clean up batter, is one away from an MLB record for homers at the All Star break which was set by Barry Bonds at 39 home runs.

If he's near th MLB record, do you have any idea what the NPB record is? I searched it online but I couldn't find it.

Shoot. So close... And I would recommend this game. It's incredible.

They only problem is that (with a PS3) it would run you about $300-$350, depending on what model you get.

I couldn't find it either, but if I were to guess, it would either be Sadaharu Oh, or Koji Yamamoto.

Scratch that. I'm almost 100% certain that Kurihara currently holds the record for most homeruns before the all-star break. The record for single season homeruns is 55, and that's by Sadaharu Oh (and Tuffy Rhodes, and Alex Cabrera [though they had a chance to break it, and both times played Oh's team, and were walked intentionally in every at-bat]), Kurihara's only got to hit 17 more to tie that.

So... I would say 38 is the record, but I'm not sure what it is in real-life.
