I started by going through success mode and won every game except the last one (grrr my impatience). I projected above average in all five tools (with a 225 power) and excelled at third base and could also play first competently.

March 2008:

I was invited to Phillies training camp at 19 years old and given a chance to show what I could do in spring training. I opened training with a 3-4 effort against the Dodgers and the Phillies kept me around.

April 2008:

I got my first hit opening day, a single to left field. I then stole second base and scored the winning run for my team. The next day I hit a pinch hit home run, the first of my career.

May - June 2008:

The Phillies have been starting me every day, but not at my natural position. While I guess I understand the need for a catcher who can hit the ball, I feel more comfortable playing third or first base. The good news is we're winning. I missed about eight games due to minor injuries and my stealing percentage isn't as good as I would like it.

July 2008:

I didn't receive any fan support for the all-star game but the coaches came through for me. I was batting about .440 with 31 home runs at the time. I captured all-star game MVP going 3-4 with 2 HR and 4 RBI.

In spite of missing a few games from getting beat up behind the plate, we went 21-4 this month and came within three games of the Mets. I also mastered darts and took up fishing!

August 2008:

A four game sweep of the Mets vaulted us into first place. We haven't looked back. I'm becoming a better, if reluctant, catcher. My skills are improving but I missed another twelve games this month. I'll start September on the bench.

September 2008:

I came back from my injury with a vengeance slamming four home runs in two games. We clinched the division 9/14 with our sights set on the post season.

Cool! Looking forward to more updates!

I like that you included stuff about the hobbies, I didn't think of that in my log.

October 2008:

I attended a charity auction! I also got a $250,000 bill towards charity. Thanks Coach. Swept the Pirates in the NLDS. I hit 5 HR for 10 RBI.

That sucks...I guess I'm ther only one who hasn't been duped into typo's yet. I didn't donate my first year, and my second year I donated $500 per homerun and he never mentioned a typo. I guess I'm lucky :D How much are you in debt(if any)?

Batting .474 with 10 HR and 20 RBI in the post season so far.

Phillies defeat Yankees in a thrilling 7 game world series! Casey Holmes won the world series MVP hitting 19 home runs in 20 games.

November 2008:

In addition to my world series MVP I won rookie of the year and was ROBBED for MVP thanks to the 20 games I missed on the DL.

Off-season time. Having Daryl (with 5 star friendship) negotiate for me. I need a raise.

I keep picking HR donations since my player might never hit one.

In the off season:

Daryl negotiated a $1.865 mil contract for me. Much better than what I was making. I wasn't in debt very long. I mastered fishing and moved onto golf. I also met Emma and while Mia *thinks* we're going steady, I've been pursuing her. I also bought my own condo.

I had a torrid spring training where it was like I was hitting the ball off of a tee. I really obliterated everything in front of me and thought the third base job was mine. I apparently thought wrong when the Phillies picked up free agent 3B Chipper Jones.

The 2009 Phillies

1. Jimmy Rollins - SS
2. Chipper Jones - 3B
3. Chase Utley - 2B
4. Casey Holmes - 3B/C
5. Adam Dunn - LF
6. Ryan Howard - 1B
7. Torii Hunter - CF
8. Jayson Werth - RF

SP - Ben Sheets
SP - John Smoltz
SP - Cole Hamels
SP - Kyle Kendrick
SP - Jamie Moyer

RP - Brad Lidge
RP - Brett Myers
RP - Tom Gordon

April 2009:

We got out of the gate strong but I faced early disappointment with a minor injury that benched me for five days. Regardless of that I hit .440 in April with 19 home runs and 38 RBI. We went 19-9 for our strongest start in years. I'm not that happy about sharing time at third base but I can deal as long as we're winning. I won player of the month (for the 6th time) and player of the week for week 1. I also had a 12 game hitting streak.

Ouch does your player even play catcher.

Nope! I dislike it and believe that it's contributing to me getting minor injuries. I've almost earning Good Catcher and Good Block by virtue of playing so many games at the position :\

I've got a catcher that never gets an off day! Come on coach give him a break!

I seem to get moved to 3B late in the game a lot and Ruiz will catch. I'd rather be starting though. Right now I'm leading the league home run race by 8 in early May. I am just killing the ball.
