Why stats keep falling

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. My created guy's stats keep falling. I've been doing a lot of pinch hitting..maybe start every 4th game or so. I get more hits than outs. Even a couple of homers but most of my stats go down. I want my power rating to stay up there...it's 154 right now.

How old is your guy? His stats start falling around 35 or so.

If he's young, your stats will drop if you go hitless in a game and/or make an error, get caught stealing, stuff like that. Don't worry though. When you get to start and get a hit or two per game your stats will climb. Also, don't neglect doing hobbies and practicing on your own. Some hobbies boost stats as well as your "skills."
