I got traded from the Rays (postseason contenders) to the Royals (1st draft pick contenders) midway through my second season. The Royals finished second to last in the whole league. The Rays won the World Series. Go figure...

Who did you get traded for?

That's harsh. Were you a starter in TB or will you be a starter in KC?

Yeah, I'd be highly pissed myself if that happened to me!

I don't know if only I see it this way but, if a team is doing well and has a chance to make the playoffs, it wouldn't make much sence to trade a player to one of the worst teams in the league. Sure, according to "stevenjackson39" the Rays won the World Series which means the trade worked out for them. In real life, making the playoffs in baseball means your team is VERY GOOD. Why would someone go out of there way to risk messing up the chemistry that got there team into a position like that?

And so I don't sound anoying again, I would really get pissed if I were a player and that happened to me.

Cool, I was wondering if anyone had gotten traded from their team yet.

I got traded to the Royals too. They stink!!!!!!!!

It coulda been worse....Washington is worse....try pitching for them.

Oh, and I was the DH, but I was waaay better than Baldelli (I play Right Field), and I was named Rookie of the Year, Hitter of the Year, and MVP in my rookie season, with a 20 HR-30 SB season.

At least the team made it to the WS before blowing a 3-2 lead at home to lose to the rockies...

I got the opposite. I got traded from the Reds (mid range team, ended up missing playoffs) to the NY Mets (just won the world series with me on the team) halfway through my first season. Had to go back down to the minors for a few games but it was worth it for the ring.

I'm ticked. I'm leading the league in many offensive categories... and suddenly, the league-leading Diamondbacks trade me to the league-crappiest Mariners for King Felix.

I wasn't very happy about that. Especially since AZ's my favorite team.

When you get traded does the GM come talk to ya? How did you find out ou traded and for whom?

One day the GM comes to you and says "Good luck with 'team x'" tomorrow!" and then a notice pops up that you've been traded. It was pretty shocking; when I first saw it I thought it meant I was starting against the team I was traded to tomorrow. Nope. Worked out for the best though.

But at least you got traded for a good starter (King Felix owns)
