With a 20yr career it is reasonable to think we will have a shot at breaking some records, which would you like you break. Hank Aarons career hr record? Rodger Marris 61hr in a season? Ryan strikeouts? Career wins? Career RBI? 56 game hit streak? If you broke one which one would you like to go after? Yes...I did leave out bonds, mcgwire, clemons....all cheaters!!!! |

Japan baseball is different than the MLB. The MLB has much higher quality players. Notice how an average MLB player can star in Japan and how people like Dice-K who are the best players in japan can come in and be mediocre starters. |

Maybe they can give us a choice to go on the juice, it gives us +30 power but gives us Durability 2. Okay, but in all seriousness, I just want to be a decent player. |

Career wins would be very difficult, when Cy young was playing I think they had a 3 or 4 man rotation, So pitchers got more starts. 500 is impossible now unless you average 25 wins a year over 20 yrs, which is very difficult |

With the possibility of instant "game over" when caught (unless you can strike up a book deal and a celebrity boxing match). mike94100 wrote: Career wins would be very difficult, when Cy young was playing I think they had a 3 or 4 man rotation, So pitchers got more starts. 500 is impossible now unless you average 25 wins a year over 20 yrs, which is very difficult Would agree with this, as well as the # of complete games or any other stat that involves a pitcher over his career. |

We could make a list of season/career records, and see who can beat them first, it would be an interesting competition edit: You forgot Sammy Sosa for season homers, he had 66 in '98 edit:We could also list the youngest player to reach a certain benchmark, like A-Rod reaching 500, etc. |

It'd have to be the hit streak and .400 avg for me. I hope it's not as easy to hit this year as it was in 07 And crack the 4000 hit mark and maybe even Pete Rose's record of 4,256 hits. |

I'm going to shoot for breaking Roger Maris's record. I think I can get more than 61 homers in a season. |

That would be boring! I'd start over if that happened. |

Yeah, I'd definitely want to make a 40/40 type of guy. Although I'm pretty sure you wont be controlling base running. |
