"Just one more push Mrs. Perez!" said the Doctor. "One, two three!" With one more big push, Mr. Jason Perez and Mrs. Marry Hernandez had a son. He was born July 17th, 1986 in Houston, Texas. "He's beautiful," said Marry. There were family members were in the room, but only a couple. Jason's brothers and parents were there. Marry's brothers and sisters and parents were there as well. Within a matter of moments, the family members were starting to fight over who got the baby first. They all got a chance to hold the baby, before standard procedures. During the breast feeding (ha ha ha, but its true), Marry and Jason debated what to call him. "Well we aren't doing a junior," said Jason. "That's for sure." They already had a bunch of names wobbling around their heads, but they wanted to choose the right one. Name after name after name was thrown out the head until they decided on one: Julio, in honor of Jason's grandfather, who died in Hiroshima when the bomb was dropped. Jason was only six. "I think it's a wonderful name," said the Doctor. "Very extraordinary, in a good way." After about a week confined to the hospital, Jason and Marry could finally take Julio home, but before they took him home, they took him to Jason's grandfathers favorite place. The local ballfield. "This is where my grandfather came everyday, day or night, kid, teen, adult," said Jason. "He never got the chance to show me the great game of ball. A day never goes through my head without wondering how it would have been to play with him." When they all arrived home, Jason brought him up to the nursery room. The room was covered in a baseball wallpaper. On the front wall was a crib, with a Chester Charge mascot stuffed toy in it, along with an all white bed sheet. There was also a radio inside the room, tuned to the Astros baseball game. Julio, who was bawling his little eyes out, gently fell into a deep sleep to the sound of Astros baseball. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

On games he's started, its been the complete opposite. Antonio sure must have a lot of confidence in his pitcher right now." The Tampa Bay college dugout was rocking, hoping for a hit that would put them ahead and lead them to victory. "For those of you that are just tuning in, we are at Rainbow Beach Stadium for the College World Series," said Terry. "Houston college has been holding a 6-0 since the first inning until big man Micheal Reary hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to make it 6-4. Now, skipper Antonio Latnaw has summoned freshman Julio Perez to escape a bases loaded jam." "It looks like there having a meeting at the mound Terry. Maybe to discuss strategy of how to pitch to Joey Twickton." "Or they may be just telling him to go after him with all he's got. He does have a mean Palm Ball and a pitch he developed just called NO. He's got some serious gas too. Lots of weapons to chose from here." "COME ON JULIO!" shouted Emma Ly. Emma was Julio's longtime girlfriend. Julio first met Emma at a creek, barely anybody knew about. I'm pretty sure he does the Road To The Rainbow games in 07 Success. He does the AAA championship game in 08 too. |
