if you've played at least a season in My Life, you know the drill: condition, mood, whatever you wanna call it, it goes on a rollercoaster ride. The length of time each state lasts piqued my interest, so I decided to start charting how it fluctuated over the course of a season, using my "oldest" Life player as my guinea pig. I figured it'd be best to start charting at the point he reached one of the extremes, it happened that he was closer to best than worst, so I began there and kept a watchful eye on condition. Here is my player at the start of the season: Jara-#91-C/1B-Rangers 9th season, 31 yo Trj 4|Bat A 15|Pwr B 160s|Run Spd A 15|Arm Str A 15|Fld A 14|E Res B 13 Blue Abilities: Throwing 4, Stealing 4, Base Running 4, Durability 4, Consistency 4, 2nd Position 4, Contact Hitter, Power Hitter, Gd Bunt, Intimidator, Spray Hitter, Grt Catcher, Gd Block, Tough Runner, Firstball Hitter, Table Setter, Tough Out, Hot Hitter, Good B2B Hitter, Red-Blue: Pull Hitter Red Abilities: Clutch Hit 2 yeah man...he plays like you'd imagine he would. anyways, now that you know what my guy's made of, here are my findings: Quote: 2016 Season: Rangers begin quest for fourth consecutive World Series ring Best: 4/24 to 5/4 (11 days) Good: 5/5 to 5/11 (7 days) *Jara listened to some rock on 5/6 Normal: 5/12 to 5/18 (7 days) Bad: 5/19 to 5/28 (10 days) Worst: 5/29 to 6/4 (7 days) Bad: 6/5 to 6/10 (6 days) Normal: 6/11 to 6/15 (5 days) Good: 6/16 to 6/30 (15 days) Best: 7/1 to 7/11 (11 days) Good: 7/12 to 7/15 (4 days) Normal: 7/16 to 7/22 (7 days) Bad: 7/23 to 8/4 (13 days) Worst: 8/5 to 8/12 (8 days) Bad: 8/13 to 8/18 (6 days) Normal: 8/19 to 8/23 (5 days) Good: 8/24 to 9/6 (14 days) Best: 9/7 to 9/15 (9 days) Well, ya gotta stop somewhere, at least for now. It's a limited sample, I realize, though there seems to be a trend: good condition is notably lengthier before you enter best condition and very brief after, while bad condition is pretty lengthy before you hit worst condition. The rock music, in this case, seems to have had the same effect as Maintain Condition in practice, extending that first Good mood longer than it would've been had I chosen to, for example, eat with a teammate. In the interest of figuring out whether this was the case or not, I did not listen to any of the CDs for the rest of the season. I'm not 100% sure this info's ready to go on the wiki yet, but I thought it was interesting. |
