how do you learn new pitches in life mode? I know there are books for sale that say you can "learn breaking ball" in practice but how do you do that? I've equipped them and nothing seems to happen when I practice |

you can only learn new pitches in spring training. |

if you find yourself in AAA at any point during the season, whether you play like crap and get sent down or you get traded and your new team stashes you down there for a while, you can use their practice days to learn new pitches. I remember when my pitcher was traded from the Orioles to the Mariners, I was stuck down there for most of July, and I used practice days to learn a few new pitches before I got called up. |
