I was playing as Cole Hamels and Oakley got traded to the Mariners for King Felix.

This needs to be fixed. I mean, who in the right mind would trade a young, dominant ace for a unproven rookie?

This was the first year of MyLife, by the way.

Oh well... King Felix and I lead the Phillies to the World Series, but lost to the Bankees. :(

He was released, and I signed a new contract for 15 million. Oakley is still in Triple-A, probably never going to get out of it...

Then again, he was called up in September, but immediatly sent down again. :P

how bout this:
Orioles get: King Felix
Mariners get: 20yo closer with 08 ROTY in his trophy cabinet who dreaded Fenway and the Bronx

yup, that closer is my guy, and surprisingly enough the O's are among the teams he struggles somewhat against. this one happened in year three, though.

Cub, the difference between your character and Oakley is that he shows potential. Oakley didn't even make it to the Majors, and was immediatly traded for someone 10000x better than him.

you should see Oakley in my Lifes...in my catcher's Life, he actually put up numbers good enough to win ROTY, only to be banished to shuttling between AAA and the bench (my catcher was always a far better contact hitter than the rest of the Rangers' backstops, but initially wasn't nearly as good powerwise or defensively-ironically the opposite of the guy I based him on). Oakley the Orioles pitcher, however...checking his numbers was like watching a man drowning. In my two full years in Baltimore, he always managed to record his first win at some point in August. Unfortunately, he was in the rotation, and both years managed to lose 20+ straight decisions before then. Granted, the Orioles suck, but that's horrendous for anybody.

That's what I hate about MyLife. Sometimes when you're hot, you suddenly get sent down to triple-A.
