Does this automatically turn up the skill level of the pitching?

My third or fourth time I got this my coach said to me "wow, still producing with all this attention must mean you're a star" or something similar to that.

Thing that sucks, is since I got his message, I have gotten nothing but singles, and most of them were just from trying to fight off striking out. The strikes get called against me if the ball even just knicks the line of the strike zone. The ones I hate the most are the ones that catch just the smallest edge of the bottom inside corner.

I know this is what a good batter would go through in the majors, but 16 games without a pitcher even making a mistake or coming close to walking me is starting to drive me batty (pardon the pun)

Ah yes the scouting report. You're right in assuming that it boosts the difficulty level of the AI. In my first life season I would get at least one mistake per week on expert mode. By the 3rd or 4th year maybe one or two a season. It's great practice though. Soon enough you'll be able to hit it wherever they throw it.

Yep, but it makes the game harder then anything else you'd normally have in the game. The bad side is that you'll get so used to hitting with one type of hitter that you'll be temporarily terrible with all the others. For example, you play 5 seasons with a weak slap hitter and hit 500 on powerful but then you play a season and your so used to to hitting like a weak slap hitter that your power hitters hit >.100

Although you're talking about batters, this will also affect the pitchers Human controlled
With a little breaking ball numbers, they will and can expect anything to happen
They now starting to bug me, I can't even get a perfect game anymore

The "powerful" level in the game is more powerful than the "powerful" in normal games. I dunno if its because of the scouting, but my battling ave keeps dropping year after year, though abilities remain the same.

Using lock on 5, pretty standard. Pitch speed is normal, no complains. However, i do notice that the amount of mistake pitches decrease as the year goes along. April had about 5? May-August has like a combine of 7?

Dunno. I face like random pitchers often, with pitchers of Peavy or King Felix standard sometimes

I just meant he could be facing more people with "safe pitch" and fewer with "Fat Pitch", so it could be just luck "or lack of0
