In My Life Mode is it possible to change your number? Do you have to go to another team or can you change it at your home team once you can apply for free agency. It cant be simply establishing yourself as I already have 2 MVPs and set the record for most stolen base (which is unrealistic, no one will ever compar to Hendrickson in speed). |

I'm having the same problem. i got stuck with #72 when i started my Life mode, and havent found a way to change it yet. I'm in the 3rd year as well and have also won all the awards and set all the records I can, so i dont think acheivements have anything to do with it. I'm hoping once I get to free agency I will be able to switch teams and numbers, but I cant complain too much since Im already making the 30 million salary cap. I guess I'll find out in 3 more my life years... which could take forever since I dont skip games... |

I'm in my 5th year personally. Has anyone who has played more then 7 years (your no longer a rookie then) experienced anything different? |

Usian what? Who is that? You realize only one person has ever hit 100 before and they barely did it? This guy stole 140 or 120 on year. Usually no one steals 50 or 55 nowdays. I think this (and homers in a season unless someone else gets juiced like Bonds) will stand forever. Some other stats won't be broken either. Happy Jack Chesbro (old Yankees Ace) had 41 wins one season almost 100 years ago and the record still and always will stand unless we go back to 3 and 4 man rotations. By far the majority of pitchign records won't be broken because pitchers don't get the same innings. |

usain bolt is the sprinter for the olympics for i forget who, maybe jamaica or something. Broke records there, 23.4 mph or so, 3.4 40-yard dash. Could be an NFL RB/MLB PR. |

Oh, well then yes, is he did play baseball he could probably beat his records. That is, if he was a smart stealer haha. I don't know about Hendrickson's, it may stay same because nothing has come close to it. You look at records that were recently broken like saves for example. 5 or so players missed the save record by 2 or 3 saves (and often had better seasons then Thigpen or K-Rod), so it wasn't suprising that someone would break it. It was suprising it took so long. No one has approached Hendrickson. Now, back to the numbers.. |

There are baseball players that could beat henderson in a footrace. The trick is getting a big lead but not too big or the pitcher picks you off. Also getting on in the first place. |

I heard you can change numbers at free agency, I never got there though. |

No, that's just the active player record, I bet. They don't record anything before 2000 there (which drives me insane, I want to try (and miss most likely) Ruth's RBI record!). I don't believe any basketball players are faster then him. Thanks Lance, that's what I though it was. Can we please get back on subject so we can see if anyone has comfirmation that you get control at free agency. |

Im curious if anyones finished a My Life mode? I'm betting you cant change your number even if you are a free agent, but I bet it automatically changes to your preferred number if you get on a team where no one has the number you assigned to your player in success mode. Anyone ever finished a My Life? or at least gotten to free agency and switched teams? I'm planning on switching teams just to test and see if I get my preferred number when I sign as a free agent. I guess picking number 6 means I'll never find a team where no one is wearing that number already, so unless they allow me to choose on signing, I doubt I'll get the number even if I switch teams. I just wish they would let me switch wives... Evelyn is lame. I said clean my room woman! And "rub my back" once in awhile... after buying her all those $2000 meals and buying her a 10 million dollar mansion, you'd think she would be more affectionate or grateful. |

She probably already had a 20 million dollar mansion so your place is a downgrade. ![]() |
