when you get married. can you get divorced as well? does that mean you cannot interact with anyone anymore?

No, you can't divorce. This is a kids game, I'm sure they're not going to send the message that divorce is ok.

Unfourtenetly, if you decide for some reason to marry Evelyn or Mia right after meeting someone decent and you want to leave them for someone less into themself or annoying, its impossible.

No, but it would be cool if this could happen in the 09 version. You would have to pay your ex-wife for monthly support of your children or something like that. That would make it uber realistic.

Yeah somehow paying half my 30 million salary a year to Evelyn in alimony doesnt seem worth it to get rid of her... even though she rarely "rubs my back" anymore.

Is she pregnant? She won't at all if she is pregnant. Just ask about the budget, and eventually she will. Whe won't do the same action twice in a row, either.
On topic: Divorces would cpmlpicate the game beyond what it is meant for (baseball) And i hate having to pay loans, as is. Also, another oppurtunity for the programmers to screw up? If you don't have a kid, you don't have to pay child support, right? Also, (although rare) Fathers can win custody of their kids, but ti would jsut cause more complication and delay.

Put health/life/car insurance, pets, and interaction with kids in next year's game.

Uh, Presidents? Too much effort to get their permission when of little use. (What significant effects could it have?) no insurance, just too much diversion from baseball, the main idea of life. But pets and kid interaction, absolutly. Here's what they should do for kids, making it relevant to pic. changes:
0-3: Feed bottle, cuddle, etc.
4-8: Play with toys, go to park, etc.
9-16: Play catch, hitting, go for a run, more training oriented stuff, but no stat boost for character. Play baseball with boys, softball with girls.
17+: Real drills, postion based. Catchers can have their kids ptich to them, infielders throw to them as a 1st baseman, etc. Gives a small stat boost to player as well.
