Do draft pick players develope into better players?

yea, its just easier if they have a high potential, so they grow faster. They wont become suprestars with tons of abilities and maxed breakers and heater, but they can become very solid.

umm, this is my life, not season.
there is no potential (in more ways than one for most drafted players).
But they develop a little i think. Not as much as you or collapse as fast as Andy Pettite's STAM (It fell to a Middle B after only one season, his team didn't make the playoffs)

As far as i can tell, they barely get any better, i my first year we picked a guy with 74-C-C- and no breakers and hasnt gotten any better after 5 years

I've seen one of the draft picks my team made in my second or third yera pitch a no no and have a w/l of like 6-7 in my fourth season(or third).

Yes, some draft-picks can turn into all-stars (with generally few or no abilities). If you have a veteran or success mode player with plenty of abilities, partner them up and try to give them an ability.
