Started my Life with a nonsuccess pitcher: 84mph, 3 fork, 2 cb, 1 slider, c cntrl, d stamia. Figured he would be a middle releiver. Was sent to the minors, called up by the end of the month, and got shelled in my 1st major league game. Made a couple more successful outings coming in around the 6th for about two innings or so but here is where it gets weird.

Came in the 7th for 2.1 innings. Started the next game which was the very next day and pitched 8 innings, was huffing-n-puffing in the 7th but had quick outs for the 8th inning. Next day was a day off, didn't travel, then manager came and told me I was starting the next game! WHA!!! I just pitched deep in the last game and pitched in the game before that.

Started my 3rd game, 2cd in a row as the starter, and was already showing fatigue before I even threw the 1st pitch. It showed. 1st batter sole homerun, 2cd strikeout, 3 double, 4 single, 5 and 6 pop outs. 2cd inning 1st batter strikeout, 2 sole homerun, 3 triple....by then I was on my knees and got yanked. We lose and manager yells......makes ya wonder how the old timers did it pitching no hitters two days in a row!

Yeah that sucks. That's why being a middle reliever isn't a very good idea. Just be a Starter, and you will at least be on some sort of schedule.

Hasn't there been pitchers who has pitched BOTH games in a day/night doubleheader?

I was referring to a real life scenario.

i don't know if that has happened in baseball (i would imagine that, years ago, it did) but that actullay happens in softball all the time. Pitching "windmill" is a completely natural arm motion, so they can go forever in those games.

"windwill" is better, I believe it is said that you can pitch faster with that style of pitching.

If a pitcher does that, I am 100% sure he would be put on the DL the next day

Nowadays, absolutly. The manager would also get fired. But years ago (think like 50-100) they only had 4 pitchers :!: 3 startes and a closer. so it was realistic for that happen.

I remember Fox sports talking about how CC Sabathia was getting used so much on limited rest that he is actually doing a bad job cause of the lack of rest. They said that it could also end his career if something was to go wrong with his arm not getting the rest he needed.

Yeah, since the Brewers aren't going to sign him at the end of the year, they are gonna ride him and use him. I heard them talking about this earlier in the summer. It doesn't matter that much to them, so they want to sue him as much as possible.
