I tried to leave the O's at the end of my 4th season with them to try and make some big bucks. So I kept sending Darryl back in hoping that the contract talks would end. But I still ended up signing with them. How do you become a F/A? Because I must be missing something. :?:

yeah, thats how long it takes to become a FA. thats why in season mode all the guys are over 30 (almost all)

I see that under the free agent offers they have goals set for you. Are these incentives worked into the deal? It would make an impact on who I sign with.

I was offered 24 mill at the start of my sixth year with the O's but I sent Darryl back in because if I didn't hit the 30 mill I was going to declare F/A. So their next offer was 30 mill :mrgreen:

which I signed so fast Darryl didn't even get to sit down :lol:

LOL, I usually do that. If the team I'm with doesn't offer 30,000,000 after a few tries, I'll declare F/A and try a different team, but it's usually never better.

Actually, it is better to go FA as team would offer you way higher contracts. E.g. 30mil/3years If your previous team offers that, that is good. What happens if you deny them all offers?

I'm coming up on free agency in my life as well and more than money want to play 3B everyday.

True but I wanted to retire as an O's player.

You can change teams can go back to the O's during postseason. That is if they want you.
