Yeah I took the names from a couple of forum members. Can you guess who? Also I believe this is the 1st pitcher player log on here. I didn't put SP because I'm planning on getting him to be a closer. I've got the intro and the first couple months done, and here they are :) :

My career has taken quite a fortunate turn, being drafted out of high school in the fourth round, it’s with the Nationals but it’s still a great start, as a left-handed Pitcher. And if I’m not successful, I still have golf to fall back on. My agent Matthew seems a bit strange, giving me a sports drink to celebrate my contract. I decided to start off I would work on my poor control (40)

March:

Spring Training Game 1: I pitched 1.2 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 walk on 4 pitches, got myself a single up the middle and left with elbow pain to pick up the 2-0 win. But the manager’s an idiot to send me to AAA, they’re the Nationals! They must have somewhere to put me in the rotation, I even had that reporter… Mia was it? Tell me what a great game I had. Well that’s a poor start to my career, better work on my golfing… I decided to donate to charity, 2,000 a win. That stupid coach messed up and put 20,000. Guess I’m going for the closer role then . Spent the whole month in AAA.

April:

Really boring month. Not much to write, I tried with high hopes of getting called up. I dominated all month and continued to be ignored, so far my records in AAA: An ERA of 0.25 in 35.1 innings 1-1 W/L Record 13 Ks 0 BB batters hitting .118 off of me scoring one run off of a relief pitcher who let in the runner after a double. Out of 14 hits, 12 were singles with 2 doubles. Every single I bounced back with a ground ball, though they managed only 2 double plays off of them.
I hit .818 (9-11) with 3 doubles and 1 run scored. And I even took 6 strokes off my golf game.

I could go on and on listing impressive stats. The question remains: Why am I being ignored?

Not to sound like a mom, but telling everyone that that is your last name is probably not a good idea :!:

ok story time

freshman year (two years ago) my friend (who is a girl) invited me to her birthday party, on the invite it said ***** Biship (* = name)

i was like  my last name's Bishop not Biship, someone heard me say Biship (good friend now) and the name has stuck, so people call me Biship sometimes (even a team in success mode)

so my real last name is Bishop

Interesting... :|

Anyway. Finished May, I'm trying to fir some more humor somewhere...

May:

I bought some new golf clubs. They weren’t any good so I stuck to the old ones. But then they broke! And the store’s got no more, now I have to golf with these crummy alloy clubs… Well I eventually got used to them and I can feel my golf skill’s getting better (C)

Woohoo! 5/23/08: I got the call up, after my second win going 5+ scoreless innings, despite my flawless month ERAwise I still think I could have allowed fewer hits. I’m not quite sure when I play next or where but I’m very nervous about how I’ll do…Might as well get caught up on the stats, we’re 13 games behind, can’t say I’m surprised, they wait 2.5 months to call me up they might as well have traded all their players for magic beans and they’d still have just as much chance of making the playoffs.

I met Emma as a person now instead of a shop clerk. Funny how people notice you when you’re a major leaguer. Even if you spend the whole time in the bullpen. Ooh I want to go to the Red Sox some day. Musical bullpens would be fun. I’ve now set up 2 goals: 1.Earn the Closer Role. 2.Do a drum solo in the Red Sox bullpen.

Although I still haven’t got to pitch yet I’m beginning to warm up to the idea of me in the majors, and there’s always next month…

1. I like stories!
2. When i saw the asterisks for your name, i thought the girl had put a cuss word on the invitation. Silly Me.

That's what I thought too. Maybe you shouldn't go to the birthday party of someone who calls you ***** Biship.

Anyway... Time for the month of June:

June:

Major League Debut: 1st of June in the bottom of the 7th with bases empty. Lasted 2 innings: GO,LO,K,GO,1B,1B,DP is how it ended up. We lost 2-0. My alloy clubs bent and since I got new ones I can’t afford to golf. Shortly after I managed my first save, going 1.1 innings without allowing a hit. My manager gave me 500$ for it and Mia interviewed me (if you can call it that, all she did was say it was a great game, I didn’t even say anything). The next game I got a 3 up 3 down save easily, bringing us to a 5 game winning streak.

The next day the drafted players introduced themselves: Wilken and Martel, 22 and 20, Left Field and Center Field, I hope they play good defense for me, I decided to chat with Martel. He told me that even though I’m younger, he would ask me for advice whenever he needed it. After that I worked 2 scoreless innings for my first win, I’m on fire! Another save brings us to a 7 game winning streak, all thanks to me and the defense…

All right, and the starting pitchers. I talked to the coach about making me a closer, and he said he’d think about it. Our 8 game winning streak quickly turned into a 4 game losing streak, hopefully we can turn it around back home. Yeah! Everything worked out according to plan as I nailed down the save to stop the losing streak. Around 4 days later I got a save although the scorers must’ve taken a day off because it didn’t count? Lousy incompetent scorers, it happened again the next day! I’m disappointed that no matter how hopeless the game is they never leave me in to hit. I got 1 more save and we ended the month at 14-13. Our first winning record month. Maybe we can do better next month.

So you're seeing 2008 having the same 2007 bug of not always recording saves properly? That sucks.

Keep it going!

Whoops. After checking the MLB save rule it turned out those weren't supposed to be saves anyway. Uh... I didn't get it wrong, my character did
