In my first year I got traded from the Yankees to the Padres. The Yankees from that point on won just about every world series in the next three years. And where was I with the Padres? The only batter on the team hitting above .300 let alone .250. All the team had was me, Jake Peavy, and Ben Sheets. We lost a lot, however improving each year. My first year we won about 55, the next 60, and in my third season 65. No one expected what was about to happen. In my fourth season, I hit over .400 breaking the season hit record. Peavy and Sheets were still playing like aces. We somehow went into September one game behind the Giants for first place! And then there was another suprise, we made the play-offs! At the end of September, we were number one in the NL! We went into the play-offs and destroyed the Astros in the first round. Going into the second, w at the Bravs-2. And guess who our world series opponents were? The Yankees! We beat them in 6 games and now I am the proud owner of a world series ring : 0 . Another suprise that I forgot to add in the top, is that Peavy and Sheets had a combined 1 win in the playoffs! My 3, 4 , and 5 guys carried us through! (Sheets however got the final win of the WS) Just thought I would share. |

Nice job, the same happened to me. The aces played badly in the world series and the only difference was that I was a rookie and i was still with the yanks. I beat your batting average. lol I was near .700 in 1st season. |

Unless we're also comparing difficulty settings and ability levels for the players we're playing, let's not talk smack about doing better than someone else  That's cool cow. I like how you can watch your team develop in MLB Life that way. |

J.Vazquez(sp?) And in the play-offs for #4 was 4. Stauffer(don't know first name or intials) 5. Was I have no idea, mighta been something Linebrink or something like that. |
