Because I just started a new one (haven't saved anything yet) and I got way better starting abilities. I didn't get married until way late, and I didn't even marry the girl I wanted to. This is just one of those times where I want to restart because I actually know the game now. My first time, I didn't know the game and I didn't know I could have been way better, way sooner. What do you think I should do? I'm 6 years into my career on my first one.

You can always start a new one and still keep the other one, I love that I don't have to be stuck on one person. But, I lost a lot of interest in my life mode(well just games overall) about 2 weeks ago, maybe I just need to play with another person.

better to restart on your 6th season than on your 16th

You've got three save slots, you can always leave this one alone for awhile and start another player. Probably worthwhile if you're unhappy with your current guy, no sense in forcing yourself to keep going with him.

Yes, and I'm using all three slots. 2 fielders and 1 pitcher. My pitcher started off on a killer pace to dwarf K-Rod's record save run, having 17-17 in saves in the first 20 games! Then suddenly, I stopped being put in. I complained to the coach, wanting my closer position back (both have 5 stars) and he said he'll see. Then I realized, Saito got hurt, and I started the season as closer, he gets better, he's closing, and I'm stuck doing mop up again. At least I got an All-Star Game appearance :D

Did you guys use success mode characters or did you create your own?

I have 1 file with a success mode player, and 2 with players I made in MLB Life mode.

I used a success mode guy but it's almost too easy with him. He didn't start with super human stats but it didn't take long to get him there. Creating one with My Life makes it much more challenging. I think it's more fun to struggle a little. That's just me.

I actually started on with a created player, and i admit, it's not that easy, even though he still dominates. I tried to teach him the Screwball during Spring Training, but I forgot to equip the book. And whenever I kept reloading for a new pitch book, I never saw Shuuto or Hard Shuuto, which would have been really awesome, since I throw a Running Fastball in real life (and all of my other pitches as well). Oh, and it's a trip too, my custom fork pitch with more rise, I actually discovered how to throw it in real life!

for pitching books, if you see it during the season, grab it. I always feel the same about The Protein EX (or w/e they call the upgraded one) during the same period (or during postseason play when you've lost out).
