Grr, how long does it take before you become a true starter on a team?

I am currently in my Rookie Season as 1B for the Chicago Cubs, sorry Derrek Lee.

After hitting .550, smashing 70+ HR's and 120 RBI's, all before the middle of June, I am still being yanked occasionally in the 8th and 9th Innings of a game, most of the times in a 'clutch' situation. What's funny is typically Matt Murton is replacing me, and he's batting under .200!

Does anyone have an idea what stat is affecting this? Or is it just the simple fact I'm a rookie?

p.s.
I'm still in my first few weeks of owning Power Pros so please forgive me for enjoying the ridiculous power stats.

It's probably because your fielding stats are low or they have moved you from your natural position. I've got a guy who's in his 6th year. He won 2 consecutive triple crowns and now has "A"s in all defensive skills but since they make him catch instead of his natural position of 3rd, they pull him in the late innings often. It's stupid but it's something you'll have to deal with. If you can land on a team with absolutely no competition at your position, you'll play the full game.

Thats what happened to me in both of my MLB Life saves.

I have a pitcher that was throwing great giving up no runs into the 7th, the coach then pulls me for a reliever and he gives up 3 runs right after I left.

In the other save, I had a 3 for 3 day, going into the 8th, the coach takes me out for a guy hitting 2.00. (I was hitting 4.67 at the time)

your pitcher probably ran out of stamina.

NL? your spot in the batting order came up, time for setup and closer.

If you pitch too quickly, you'll never see yourself wipe your brow or pant.

I was being pulled sometimes in the fifth inning my second year. The manager decided that even though my arm strength is D and I am a first baseman it would be a good idea to put me in left field. I had about 50 errors that year. It was frustrating to hit a home run my first at bat and then they'd bench me after that. After two months of that I simmed the rest of the season. The next year I was back at first base.
