Well, I just declared free agency after 6 years with the Cubs. I decided to sign a 1-year $30 million contract with the Angels. I don't know how it will go, but I hope we make it to the World Series. |

How many offers did you get? Did they vary in length and cost? |

Well I reloaded a couple times just to see if I'd get any different offers, but the first time was Angels and Cubs only, then I decided to go another week and the Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles, and Phillies also made $30,000,000 offers, but they were 2-year deals. I wanted a 1-year deal, so I reloaded my game and took the Angels offer in the first round. |

Do you have to wait six years? I want to get out of damn San Diego and win more then 60 games a year.... atleast be in the play-off hunt! My RBI numbers are low, not cause I suck because my team doesn't get on base ![]() |

I got on the Red Sox and we own. We have a starting six of Dice K, Beckett, Peavy, Webb, Sheets, and Buehrle. Shilling is the long man out of the pen. I also have Dunn, Ortiz, hitting around me. My 1B has a ton of everything. Being in the right place makes all the difference. I wanted out at first, but after 2 WS titles in three years, I am not going anywhere. |

Only your GM making bad trades can stop you now I actually had to "veto" a trade the GM made in year 3. He tried to ship Beckett straight up for Albert Pujols. Since I was at 1B and Ortiz was DH, Albert just wasted on the bench. That didn't get saved. |

That didn't get saved. LOL. I "vetoed" a recent trade too. I was the leading All Star vote getter among 3B in the NL when the day before the final results came out, good ol A-Rod get's traded to the Nationals, of all teams. All of a sudden, my guy is knocked off the ballot all together. I had some choice words for the game aaannnnd...reset it. |

I let the computer do whatever it wants because I go long periods without saving(1-3 months). So, if they CPU makes a stupid decision I'll just have to live with it, and we have a good core team anyway so it doesn't change much. |

My astros are terrible. They traded Berkman and Oswalt already. Lost Valverde, Wandy rodriguez, and Ausmus to free agency so I have no backup catcher. Towles was traded too. Bourn is on the bench along with Sean Casey while Matt Stairs makes the mendoza line look good. My player keeps getting injured since he never gets a day off and Miguel Tejada is playing terrible Defense at third base because we got Jack wilson in a trade for Roy O. |

To clarify, free agency takes place after the conclusion of the 2013 season - 2008 = year 1 2009 = 2 2010 = 3 2011 = 4 2012 = 5 2013 = 6 I did some reloading because I wanted to experiment a bit with my guy that just finished up year 6. I found that I got a much better deal just resigning with my team through contract negotiations ($19.5 mil) than I got in FA offers (highest was $16.something). |
