Second year on my SS I got 2.4 mil. I won most every award possible, and was player of the week every week but one of the season (got injured). We won the World series, and I was MVP and also All-Star MVP. Not sure if the awards and titles make a difference, but after 4 negotiations I got the 2.4 mil offer for year 2 with Darryl.

I did a little S/L on negotiation week to see who gave the most, and Darryl was quite a bit better then Matthew. The only problem was that my team decided to pick up a ton of old (F. Thomas, Griffey jr.,R.Johnson) players after our World series win, and traded some young pitching talent in return...so now were very light on starting pitchers, making a repeat series title unlikely, since were losing games even when I hit 3 HRs and drive in 5+runs myself...

Well, hopefully I can still make the playoffs this year with the lineup we have, but its going to be a struggle with all the declining players I have around me. Its interesting to see if winning the series has any bearing on contract negotiations, I'll have to wait until after the second season here and find out.

I didn't do quite this good with my catcher, but i won a couple of ROTM's and a week, but i hit 554, we won the series and 1 got a little under 1.1 mil.

last night I finished my first season as a Shortstop on the Red Sox. I was elected into the All Star game, finished HONESTLY at about .500 92 home runs and 290 something RBI's then won the world series and the world series MVP. I also got a bunch of other awards like the Hank Aaron award, the Most homeruns, most RBIs most hits (I don't know if this affect anything) then I had to chose between 3 agents (Matthew, Jacob and Daryl) everyones said the one at the all star game (Jacob) is the best but i chose him and i got 600k and he would renegotiate. I didn't think that was special so i chose daryl because he came to me randomly and Oakley said that was the best agent if your with him it means your a "real player" so i chose him and first try i got 1,107,000 so i renegotiate 3 times and now my 2nd year salary is 2,590,000! hahaha

so anyways thanks for reading my novel, i was just wondering if anyones recieved better on their 2nd year and with which agent?

I chose Matthew for $888,000
