It definitely is NOT worth it if you already have regular access to the internet, as you seem to have. Its a pain in the a$$ to type; basically a "virtual keyboard" pops on the screen and you hunt and peck with your wiimote. It really slows you down and can be fairly frustrating for someone like myself who can normally type fairly fast (I'm begging you Nintendo... make a keyboard attachment!!!). For me it was a matter of not having a computer right now. If you're still interested I'll go ahead and lay out what you need to do, just let me know.
Nintendo has added keyboard support to the wii. Plug in ANY usb keyboard in the back of the Wii (usb port), its that simple. You can use the keyboard for just about anything now. You can use it for the Opera online browser, you can use it to write messages to your friends on your Wii, and you can use it to type out your Wii point cards in the Wii Shop Channel.
I'm like an Ambassador of the Wii system, hit me up with question if you like. I'm an expert.

Probably not.
I was thinking, that I could get to these websites from my wii, instead of bringing down a computer.
Also, for more devious reasons, one, so when my parents limit my computer time, I can use my wii instead.
Also, it might give me an excuse for using the wii "I'm doing my homework".

Another cool thing is that you can play Wii specific online games. The wii has Flash 7 support; so any games coded in Flash 7 will work with the Wii!
Here are some sites that are dedicated towards this:
