I don't think anyone has made him yet, but here's a suggestion for stats. TRJ: 2 CON: 10-11 PWR: No higher than 150. SPD: 14-15 ARM: 12 FLD: 9 E RES: 9 |

I think Eric and I came up with 115 to 120. I don't think he'd be any higher than that. |

By all accounts, McCutchen is probably flashing more power than he can sustain over a 162-game season. Besides, even if you were to use his current HR pace as the norm, he would have +/- 125 PWR. Realistically, he is probably somewhere between 112 and 118. Here is what my statistical model spit out for McCutchen: TRJ 2 CON 8 PWR 117 SPD 14 ARM 10 FLD 8 ERES 10 Contact Hitter, Grt IF HTR, Bases Clearer, Sparkplug, Stealing 4, Aggresive STL ^ That is a very good baseball player by MLBPP standards. Notes: Based on McCutchen's various contact rates, he is an 8 (CON 8 = +/- .270 AVG), but he receives a boost thanks to his speed (Grt IF HTR) and his ability to make hard contact (Contact Hitter). If you don't want him hitting rockets all over the field, you could take away Contact Hitter and he would still be a .280ish hitter when controled by the computer. ARM for OF's was the one ability that was difficult to pinpoint. 10 might be a tad strong, but not when compared to 200 other OF's. I would probably make him a 9. I was surprised he didn't receive Base Running 4 because he looks like a good base runner to me (in addition to just being fast). I'm guessing he a made a couple of mistakes and those mistakes were compounded by his small sample size. Not that he should have any problem motoring around the bases with 14 SPD. If you are updating rosters in Arrange Mode and don't want to create McCutchen in Success Mode, edit Billy Butler (KC). |
