Hmmm...I think I should make his fastball 93-5, because the fastball never actually reaches its full potential. But, its your call.

I'd limit it at 93 if you go higher than 92, from the scouting I've read.

Quote:
Pauley's stuff won't blow anyone away, but he has three solid pitches. His fastball sits around 88-92, he's consistant with his curveball, and his changeup has good movement. He throws strikes and is often around the strikezone too much. He doesn't walk many, but he also doesn't miss a lot of bats. His ceiling is probably that of a 4th or 5th starter.

I think Pauley got traded to the Orioles this offseason

All right! He's done! Just need to know: Wristbands, desired looks, etc? I'm really bad at making the looks myself. I'll try if I don't get a response in a decent amount of time. Eh, and hour, I guess. Maybe a little more.

I think Face #30 looks like him, with the thick eyebrows and all. Yes or no to facial hair? Some of the images have him with it, some without it. I HATE CONFLICT!

Pauley is a normal face, dark hair. Prolly the eyes that slant upward - almost sad looking ones. EDIT: medium black goatee (like in the pic from last page), no wristbands or earrings or anything. Hair is probably short and black/dark.

Pauley is on the orioles now, but at the beginning of the 2008 season he should be in the sox' AAA system.

Number? Age should be 25, right? Or 24? Bat color? Glove color? MLB Experience=2, right?

DOB 06/17/83, so he should be 24 at the start of 2008.

No major league exp.

# is currently 79, that seems fine

I'd go with no goatee - he hasnt had it in a while - but its up to you

All right. Here's the PW. Sorry for no Fat Pitch; it was so hard to get! I barely passed! I didn't go hard-core S/L, but he's about what you wanted in core abilities.

Is Chris Carter ,like, a real-life reject type of player?

Post subject:  Re: Calling all Real Players (wii)

Yes, Chris Carter is on that team and since we was finished i should be able to add him soon.

Who's next? Catcher - Clement or Wieters?

two things:
Apple, nice job on the player. Stats and pitches are just about where they should be - good stuff. Thank you for contributing your time and effort!

One issue: the skin tone? You made him like dark hispanic...Pauley's one of those pale white guys. :) Also, you gave him angry eyes, but the dude looks more like the goofy happy sort. no biggie though, good enough for me.

The other thing is, with the addition of Pauley, the Sox only have room for 2 more players for their MLB2008 roster. So out of Bard, Bailey, Tazawa and Van Every, I can only include 2 more in the project. Both Van Every and Bailey saw MLB action last year, so I'm leaning towards them.

this also means, we need to create players for other teams! I found this site on ESPN that lists all 2008 debuts, so any of these guys are fair game:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/newcomers ... 08&month=5

The ones listed in the Real-Life Rejects team page are first priority, obviously.

Sorry. That was really stupid. The looks aren't that important, though. Again, really sorry. If you need any other help and you trust I won't be stupid again, I'm here.

anyone add anything more?

Just busted out the MLBPP 2008 again, lots of prospects that were apparently not marked as completed -did anyone finish them for Wii?

Jeff Clement, Matt Weiters, Strasburg, Daniel Bard, etc? Phil Coke for Wii?

Since we're not getting 2009, it would be best if we all came together and created enough of a roster update to make this work for another year.

almost done with Clayton Kershaw

after which I will attempt Wieters. Here is Eric Davis' info from his version:

Quote:
#15 Matt Wieters, C (BAL)

3 TRJ
9 CON
157 PWR
9 SPD
12 ARM
11 FLD
11 ERES

Barehand CTH, Clutch 4, Gd B2B HTR, Gd Catcher, Hot Hitter, Power Hitter, Spray Hitter, Star, VS Lefty 4

I may put his fielding up (ERES more like B) and his arm down (21% CS rate). But as a switch-hitting catcher and the best prospect in the game, he needs to be done!
