Requests:
These rules are subject to change at any time. Remember, custom players take time to make just right.

* One player request per person at a time. No exceptions. Post ALL of the required information (name, position, appearance) and as much desired info as possible (desired abilities, stat levels).
* When your request is fulfilled, edit the title of the first post to say so. Make a link to the post if the completion post is deep in the thread.
* Wait a week before bumping an un-answered request. The few of us who are kind enough to offer our services are more than likely busy with other requests or our own players.

I don't think It's possible to do that, because you can't really gamble for breaking ball POINTS, just gambling for breaking ball only. So, I wouldn't think you could do that. So sorry, no breaking balls, unless you convert him (sucessfully) to a pitcher in Season Mode, then you could teach him to learn a breaking ball.

As far as I know, you can't gamble for experience points. You can S/L and gamble for a 5-card practice to get more experience points, but there is no practice or Random Event that provides hitters with breaking ball points - not even if you have the Multi-Colored Spin Ball. Pitchers, on the other hand, have access to everything but Trash Talk.

Yeah, so if you wanted breaking balls, you could have started with a pitcher.

But then his defense at catcher would have been a C, so it's a catch-22. If we could only figure out how to get 2nd POS 4, all would be right in the world.

Eric's already doing that, sms. You just got to let him work. It takes him a little while to get players finished. We just got to be patient.

Making a near-maxed hitter with a 96 mph fastball and 120+ Ctrl requires S/L for 5-card practices on nearly every turn since they both gobble up technique points. That’s what takes so much time. It would have been easy had I started with a pitcher, but that wasn’t an option. The request was for B defense and Trash Talk, two things you can’t get if your 2nd POS is C.

Game on. I manmaged to bang out a few more weeks once the long weekend with relatives finally ended. S/L for 5-card practices and gambling for MPH is painful. This will be the last hard-throwing hitter I make unless he starts as a pitcher first.

Finished! Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get Star or Sparkplug, but I added Fastball Life and Groundball P so at least his 96 mph heater has some value.

does the pitching stats even matter, i know hes a great player, but no matter what, you cant put hitters at a pitching postion, can you?

No, not really, but you can place pitchers in a second position.
