There's a stat on fangraphs for error runs above average, and he is consistently well above average, in fact, he is in C range. |

right - jag I think you might be using the wrong league fielding %. third base is always the worst - league fielding percentage for 3Bs lives in the 950s. (.957 during Machado's career). So his .969 mark is above average, probably 11-12 range IMO. I always compare the player's lifetime fielding % to the average for his position (or multiple positions if he plays a few). |
