So being born in '86, Cecil is too young to be edited in. (You can edit Cueto into Cecil, but Cecil is 5+ months younger, and would be 21 at the start of the season, not 22 like Cueto). And I've been promising him since August. So let's look:

R/L

Top speed 94
Control 157
Stamina 155

W/RISP 2
Fastball life 2
Gd low pitch
Vs LH Batter 4
Spin 4
Fat pitch
Gd pickoff
Recovery 4

H-Slider 4
KNCB 2
CCHG 2

EricDavis 2011:
Quote:

Z , 12 , Brett Cecil , Cecil , Brett , * , TOR , P , P , , 137 , 159 , , , vsl4 , , , fblife2 , spin4 , rel4 , rec4 , , fat , , , , , , , , unlucky , , , , , , , over , 93 , CHG , 3 , 4SFB , , 2SFB , 1 , V-SLD , 2 , DCB , 2 , ,

EricDavis 2012:
Quote:
Brett Cecil , L , over , 93 , CHG , 3 , 28% , -.3
Brett Cecil , L , over , 93 , 4SFB , x , 27% , -.3
Brett Cecil , L , over , 93 , 2SFB , 1 , 22% , -.3
Brett Cecil , L , over , 93 , V-SLD , 2 , 17% , -.3
Brett Cecil , L , over , 93 , DCB , 2 , 6% , -.3

And here's what I come up with - its tough since he's started 74 of his 213 career games...its almost exactly split, 3.5 years on each side of the bullpen...many more innings as a starter...so I'll probably go for a C stamina and throw him as Swing Man? Not sure.

Really confused about pitching motion - EricDavis specifies overhand, but this scouting report says " Throws from a three-quarters arm slot". Will have to review video ugh

bats right/throws left (important!!)

top spd 95, maybe 96 (has hit 95.7, 95.8 repeatedly)
ctrl 120-125 (3.3 BB/9 IP career)
stam 120-142 (120 min because he can start, 142 max because he avg'd 6.17 IP per start in his two full seasons starting)

pitches:
CHG 3 - best pitch, good vertical drop
2SFB 1 (sinker, moves fast - fangraphs has it both as SI and FT, but they look the same movement-wise)
SLD 2-3 (big vertical drop here, might qualify for V-SLD)
KNCB 1 might make sense - very little movement, less than any other CB out there. but he's overhand so maybe its a small DCB? Scouts say 11-5 movement. Might have to be an ORIG!! Please toss me some help here.
CUT 1 if points allow

specials:
he used to be an easy mark for fat pitch, but has really turned that around as a reliever...
Vs Lefty 4 easily
Recovery 4
No to release 4, good pickoff
Fastball Life 2 would be great, hitters smack that to the tune of .298!
I may throw another negative ability like Poise 2 in - "when he's bad, he's really bad"
everyone else had spin 4, should i throw that in since his breaking pitches are all better than the FB?

There's always Phil Hughes on the Yankees to edit him in as...

Ahh that's close in DOB yeah. Why was Hughes not in the thread as a player under 25? Hmm

That thread was for players 25 and under who had no MLB experience at the time of the game's release. Hughes pitched for the yankees beginning in 2007.

I'd be willing to make him if anyone wants me to.
This is what I have:

I'd only like to look at his stats since the beginning on the 2013 season (or since he became a reliever)

Top Speed 96 MPH
Control 100 - I'd rather not give him a G in Control here. 3.9 BB/9 in last 2 seasons
Stamina 50 - setup man

2-Seam Fastball 1
Cutter 1
Knuckle Curveball 1
Changeup 3

He got rid of his Slider, so I don't think we need it if he's not going to throw it again

W/RISP 4 - Yes, 77.6% strand rate in 2013, and 81.5% in 2014
Vs Lefty 4 - I say yes, .244 BA in 2014, .186 BA in 2013.
Fastball Life 4 - I say yes again, .167 BA against FB in 2013, .216 BA in 2014
Recovery 4 - Like always
Walk - Yes, 3.9 BB/9 in last 2 seasons
Dr. K - Since becoming a reliever... Hell yes 10.4 K/9 in 2013, 12.8 in 2014. Only problem is that I won't be able to pitch as many innings, so I may not get this. I could try to catch the doctor's thief and use Secrets of Pitching to acquire it
Groundball Pitcher - I say yes, 51.3 GB% in 2013, 53.8% in 2014

Poise 4 - Not certain if we want to give him this, don't want to over power him
Good Pickoff - Alloutwar said yes, but I don't know if he wants to stick with that

Spin 4 - Doesn't look like it, just seems like his Fastball isn't hit well. His curve last season was unhit-able, but in 2013 it had a .262 BA against it

Feedback is appreciated!

I got to AAA with my version, but wife, work, this atrocious crappy dog we're babysitting, and other concerns have torn my time away from MLBPP unfortunately.

Plus I think I missed the chance to get the Black Dog thread going? It was Xmas and no black dog anything, which means no Fastball Life 2, which kind of makes him off-target for me.
