So that says TRJ 3-4 (homers homers homers, 5% of his at-bats) CON 4 (hahaha totally, he's THAT bad. .207!) PWR 136-154 (.196 ISO!) SPD 6-7 (dude hits more homers than doubles, 2 SBs vs 3 CS career) ARM 8-9 (slightly below league average CS%) FLD 7-8 (BIS, total zone both negative) E RES 8 (slightly below league avg again) 1B second position Specials: Vs Lefty 4 seems fine timely whiff Cautious Steal But let's not forget this man PITCHES!!! Scoreless innings! So unlike Lucroy who I finished with 400 extra points in a few categories, with Arencibia I can use those points to good use! top Speed 74mph Ctrl 100? Stam 30 I don't think he deserves any breaking pitches, but please weigh in. Fangraphs calls his offering a KN, but that's just cuz it's under 75 mph. |

You can't get breaking balls as a fielder in Success Mode, so that's out of the question. Everything else seems fine to me, saw him in person last year a couple times and he was pretty bad, but the balls he did hit went pretty far, so F contact/Timely Whiff and B power are good. |

It appears he only throws the one stock fastball. It does have slight sink but no little to none horizontal movement. |

Got cautious STL, but rally hitter came with it. No biggie. Vs lefty 4 is done, 1B second position too. Power almost at C, TRJ 4, con 3. He's like a right handed Terry, lol. I'm thinking pull hitter is a fit? Most homers are to LF, most everything is. All I need is a few more points of arm, maybe 20 power, timely whiff, pull hitter, and then 20 mph on the fastball. Oh and stamina - jeez hitters only get a few points to start! I'm gonna have to play to the sittch game to get 74mph and 30 stamina. |

That was a close one. Arencibia actually got two game overs when I didn't beat Gil and didn't have enough scouting points...I had kept striking out to get Timely Whiff, but needed the final Sittch game to get it. Things turned sour when the GalaxySharks scored 9 runs, and then added a 10th, meaning they were about to get a 4th inning mercy win. I got Arencibia his second strikeout (thank goodness I moved him to leadoff) and I just barely earned Timely Whiff before the mercy rule. I went with 3 TRJ and 139 power, just one under B...couldn't give him B power. He's still an awesome platoon guy against lefties. Ended up with BaseRunning 2 and Cautious Steal. Didn't get control up as far as I wanted, but mid-70s is functional. He can throw an inning if absolutely needed. This should wrap up my need for success mode catchers!
