Post subject:  Jason Kipnis, Indians 2B (Wii)
My favorite player in MLB is by far Jason Kipnis, so I've decided to create him. I know Ham Bone made him a few years back, but he spelled his name horribly wrong. What stats should Jason have? I was thinking C contact and D power, but if it should be different please tell me.

Here's what I have for him

TRJ: 2 (maybe 3)
CON: D (8)
PWR: high D/low C
SPD: B (12/13)
ARM: E
FLD: E
E RES: E

would think 2DDBEEE would work best, but it's your call, I guess

GD Bunt/GD IF HTR - Kipnis is 17-20 lifetime on bunt hit attempts, with 9 sacrifices
Push Hitter - .404 lifetime AVG opposite field, as opposed to .266 pulling the ball
VS Lefty 2, if possible

But he only played 2nd base and DH this year. I feel like the skill set and abilities, that Rob gave him, should suit Kipnis well.

Trajectory should be 3, don't waste time trying to get another position. Second base is where he'll be staying. Contact should be high D to C (9-11)

speed should be much higher than a 9 though

Contact should not be higher than 8, 2013 was a BABIP inflated season. 2DDBEEE would be best

Yep. He strikes out too much to have higher than a D contact, but not enough to hit the Timely Whiff threshold (I think).

My $.02 as well :)

TRJ 2-3, your call
CON 7-8 (.262 career avg)
POW 114-117 (.136 ISO, HR% = 2.2%)
SPD at least 11, you can push for 12 but I wouldn't go higher
ARM E is fine
FLD E-D is fine, he's got some negatives and some positives in the advanced metrics so its a toss up
E RES 10-11 (lifetime fldg pctg .985, MLB is .984)

I wouldn't go with push hitter, his spray charts on fangraphs show a ton of groundouts pulled to his side of the infield...but he sprays them around so he's not a pull hitter either IMO.

I'd agree on the bunt and Vs Lefty 2 options tho
