So MLBPP08 comes with Vogelsong as a pronounceable name. Great! Let's use it! He hails from Charlotte, too!!! But seriously, this guy got the nod in game 4, over Lincecum, so he means something to baseball.

Vogelsong is just an OK, back of the rotation starter...not unlike so many others we make. Since coming back to MLB in 2011, he's been an all star once and put up good numbers for two seasons, then just OK numbers the last two. Overall he's got a 49-57 record and 4.42 ERA - but those first two years back from Japan he was an above-average starter. Now he's turning 37 and is probably fringey at best.

So where does that leave me?

Top speed 93-95 (He's maxed out at 94.8 mph on his fastball, but averages 90...this is tough)
ctrl 110-134 (BB/9 of 3.5, so nothing special here)
stam 135-160 (he averages under 6 innings a start, so I think I am aiming for 135 here. 2 CGs his whole career! No 160!)
2SFB or H-SNK 2-3 (have to go 2SFB here since it comes in around 90 mph)
CB or DCB 3 (75-77 mph, not sure that qualifies as DCB)
CUT 1-2
CHG or CCHG 2

the blues I can't justify...a sub-.500 record doesn't win Lucky...lefties cream him to the tune of a .287 batting average, so vs lefty 4 is out. W/RISP, maybe, since his ERA was so low. but I may try to pick up a red or two, since he implodes so often, outside of those two brilliant seasons.

I juggled with choke artist which may justify him lasting only 6 innings at best and fading out in games. Choke artist comes into effect around 6th inning?
