Been meaning to ask, how do passwords work? I'll assume you have to hooked up to the internet, use computer for that.

go to data and password input, then type in the password. It will put the character into your game.

REALLY?!! I always just thought you had something to do with the internet. WOW...that just changed a few things.


Technical question: How do the passwords work then? I know you key in all the gibbrish, but Joe made player X but how does my game know of that player.

Passwords were just programmed into the game.

I thought it was pretty cool too the first time I learned of this.

basically, each part of the character itself makes up part of the password, and the game is able to read the password and create the player on your game.
