Plays for the Brewers now, ya know. :wink:

I see you got one ability by accident. How in the heck do you not do that more often? I usually never try for abilities, but still end up with at least 10.

It does happens very often. But another problem is you do so many of these characters its like becoming a zombie. You don't notice some abilities you gain. I didn't realise I had this until I'd saved him to my memory card. Usually I would have loaded again. Sometimes its so hard to avoid some abilities, firstball hitter is one or getting rally hitter when trying for patient hitter or that dreaded Vs LH Hitter 4. I guess its just perseverence.

So you're saying that you're a zombie?

Times like this I really wish I had a PS2...

Oh, I see. So you save and load NOT to get blue abilities? :lol:

If it would make the player more realistic, yes. That's what I think at least.

Some examples;

Firstball hitter. I deliberately hit off the pitches that follow. I usually "cheat" by pausing, unpausing until I get a fastball being thrown by the pitcher.

Vs LH Hitter 4: First 2 games go all out to strike out as many as possible (to get scout/coach eval points as high as possible). Then in some games walk one lefty strike one out (depending on the team) this keeps scout points at at least 4-5 in some cases. My strategy most of the time is to practice. In the second year (hopefully you have a bit of stamina) strike out the guava strawberries or the game may simulate and you get max points. Another strategy is in january (provided you don't have any arcs your doing), S/L for the scout to see you strike out Marvin. If your scout or coach points are low S/L for the scout, you could get the scout up to 3 times. If you strike Marvin out each time thats 33 scout points (11 each time) (I have no idea about coach points it offers though).

The star players are no trouble, as most of the blue abilities they will need, but its the middle prospects or ones to cover positions that are harder.
