Eric did one. If you look in the success mode (hitters project).

Rob - he's doing Wii, not PS2.

Please continue (unless I am wrong here)

DrMario has a coghlan he will add in

Also, I think Beckham hit like .200 this year? So either poor consistency or low E/F contact maybe. Looks like he may bust.

Beckham is a hard-nosed, hard-working guy with more than enough ability to stick. I'm willing to place the first half of his 2010 season in the small sample-size category until further notice. Poor consistency is fine, but the first few adjustments a young player has to make are always the most difficult to overcome. All hitters not named Pujols deal with it sooner or later - even Heyward was getting abused before his injury, and he's one of the most complete hitting prospects you will ever see. Beckham's ceiling might be lower than some scouts originally anticipated, but I think what we saw in 2009 is the real deal: a modest gap power and doubles hitter with decent skills across the board, like the 2007 version of Aaron Hill or a late 90's Edgardo Alfonzo/Mark Loretta hybrid.

Sounds fair. I hope you're right.

I remember Pedroia having a terrible time his first few months, but he worked it out. Other guys like Casey McGehee don't seem to slump. Others like Panda and Beckham struggle that sophomore slump period.

I guess that's part of the problem with MLBPP - guys that fluctuate wildly, like Ortiz or Rolen or Aubrey Huff, aren't projected well in the game.

Other sims like Baseball Mogul can have fluke seasons in the code - but MLBPP tends to standardize a player to his ratings.

Yeah I saw his first half stats and they were very bad but everyone else says he'll be warming up and has been so I'll try to stick to that. Too bad I've gone 0-2 in trying to make him so far  I just couldn't get any hits with him. He was hitting like 2-25 overall in my 2 attempts

My comment was just made as it seemed he wanted an idea on stats, I realised he was doing a Wii player and not a PS2 player
