Since your making him for MLB Power Pros 2008, he should be 22 at the start of the game (he turned 23 in July 2008).

Here was Eric Davis' take:

Code:
Last First Team TRJ CON PWR SPD ARM FLD RES
Pena Ramiro NYY  2     5    47    9     8     8    7

scouting report: http://yankees.scout.com/2/600735.html
baseball-reference: http://www.baseball-reference.com/playe ... ra02.shtml

Based on that, weighing them all, I would urge you to revisit a few pieces. Pena's strength is fielding, way above all else. If you want to give him a C or better fielding, that's perfect. Error Resistance should be more E-F - he's made fielding errors, .953 fielding pctg in the majors, .964 in the minors, neither being great. He doesn't get many steals, single digits every season, so that's D range, 8 or 9 at best. Contact should be pretty low - .255 across the minors, so that's E range. Power should be scaled back too - he's average one homer per season, which is indeed a power of about 47.

So my recommendations:
Contact: E
Power: 47
Run: 8-9
Arm: C
Field: C/B
Err Res: E/F

Abilities don't look bad, not sure if all apply. also, you may want to give him 3B as a third position, as he played there for a month or so in 2009.

Feel free to take under advisement! hope this helps.

Power definitely should not be a D, make it an E or maybe even an F.

Looks excellent dude! I will add this to the Wiki now.

Abilities look good, power and contact about perfect - nicely done. No 3rd position, but that's fine.

I have one problem: with Nick Green, David Robertson, and Francisco Cervelli, my Yankees roster is filled up. I can't fit Alfredo Aceves or anyone else we decide to do, unless I assign Nick Green elsewhere for 2008 or something. Is there another guy on the default Yankee roster that can be deleted without issue? Anyone there that didn't ever make the major league squad?

Chris Britton is one option to remove - he barely pitched in 2008, and went to the independent leagues after.

Andrew Brackman is another - Scott Boras client, that's prolly how he got in the game. His pitcher character doesn't match reality in anything - pitch types, pitch speed, etc. He may be best to remove in favor of Alfredo Aceves, if you're working on him.

Humberto Sanchez is another - got only a few appearances, released afterwards. Why does the default 2008 Yanks roster have so many fluff guys?

Everyone else got significant time, or was traded and got MLB time. Man, that's a deep Yanks roster.

Yeah go ahead and get rid of one of them. I haven't started Aceves YET but i'll definitely start some time this week or on the weekend.

I modified Brackman in my game, to have a top speed of 96, Knuckle-Curve of 4, and other pitches of one from wikipedia. He will stay in.

Britton and Humberto Sanchez will be deleted, and instead that space will be for Austin Jackson and Alfreda Alceves. That should get the Yanks roster to about perfect.
