With all the pitches, and the unavoidable 3 or 4 blue abilities, Garcia was looking too good - so I collected a few red abilities (but no Fat Pitch, alas, although I tried SO HARD). I had a ton of points left over.

He provides depth in case of injury, or shores up a broken pitching staff (which tends to happen with fatigue in this game). Garcia was just 31 in 2008, and on his way back via a signing with the Detroit Tigers. Yet MLBPP left him out, denying us a past ace, and a guy with the potential to still be effective throughout his 30s. My plan for stats: Max Speed: 90/91 mph. Garcia lives by maxing out at 89. Pitches: Hd Slider (2), Curve (1), change (3), 2-seam (1), split (1). Control: B/C. At 2.9 BB/9 innings, Garcia still has control. Stamina: low/mid B. Garcia gets into the 6th typically, but is never a complete game sort anymore - his last was in 2006. Abilities: Let me know if you have any further ideas for him before I go making him after Bernie Williams is done! |
